When was the earliest you were able to successfully find the heartbeat?

I have one, but my SIL borrowed it and I am hoping to get it back from her sometime this week. I think it might still be too early for me to try, but wanted to see what the rest of you have experienced.

I found it in the 11th week. It was tricky to find, but didn't take me too long.

I didn't even try until 14 weeks, and I found it - took awhile, but I found it. Most of the women I know can usually find it between 10-11 weeks, at the earliest.

I ordered mine at 11 weeks. I found it first try, but it took about 5-7 minutes.

I actually found it for the first time yesterday! I'm measuring ahead of my ticker and am just shy of 10 weeks

Add: just FYI I tried multiple times a couple days before with no luck so try to not stress if you don't find it

I didn't attempt to use mine until much later, like week 21. My MW found it at 11 weeks, but with a lot of difficulty. At 17 weeks, a nurse had a lot of trouble finding it. So I'm glad I didn't try sooner because I probably just would have freaked myself out.

If you can't find it, don't freak because it's really early still.

I found mine pretty early, I think it was either 9w1d or 9w3d.  I watched several videos on youtube before giving it a shot though, so I knew where to look, what sounds to listen for and a rough number range for what the heartbeat should be. I have the sonoline b doppler.

Thanks ladies for the input. I didn't order my doppler until I was about 14 weeks with DS, so I never had trouble finding it (I had watched the nurses/doctor do it at my appts and knew where to look). But of course now I want to try earlier but I worry I am still outside the range of being able to find it.

I found it right at 9 weeks, right above the pubic area, pretty low down. Good luck!

With DS I found it at 10 exactly.

I found it just shy of ten weeks, it takes some patience and knowing that the odds are it's too early, I just kept repeating that to myself so I didn't freak out!

11w5d...but it is still spotty to find it at 13w. Might be the anterior placenta though...

I found mine at 11 weeks and some odd days.  I started trying around 9 weeks, and it felt like forever until I finally found out since I started so early.  I would suggest waiting until at least 10 weeks....despite knowing I was early, it freaked me out some that I wasn't finding it at first.

Thanks ladies for all your input. I got my doppler back last night and I tried it and I thought I found it but I wasn't sure (I played around with it for 15 minutes or so). This morning I tried again and was able to find it within a couple minutes.

I want to say around 10-11 weeks was the earliest, and even then it was hard to find.

I am a nurse and it killed me not to find one when I first bought it at 9 weeks. My police officer husband found it right away at 9 weeks even, but that is very early (seriously?! I am supposed to be the pro . We were able to find it everyday we tried from there on until I started feeling movement.
