Ok, I've posted a couple times on random things this week but didn't intro because I didn't see any other intros on this board. This board moves really fast compared to my BMB, though, so I easily could have totally missed them. I just lurked through 5 pages of the Confession topic and you ladies are hilarious!! I also loved on a couple Buffy/Angel comments so I figured I should intro instead of being the creepy Love It Lurker.
So Hi! I'm a FTM living in central CA. My son was born January 1, 2013. My husband and I have been together 10 years this Halloween. I have two cats and two dogs (a Siberian Husky and a German Shepherd). I love animals (have worked with them for over a decade), I am a huge book worm, I play the trombone, and I LOVE Buffy/Angel, Dollhouse, Firefly, etc. Has anyone else seen the animated 8th season of Buffy created from the comic after the show ended? Yeah, THAT'S how big a nerd I am. lol

Do I love Firefly? If we have a daughter her name is Kaylee!! Though it's also a combo of my two sisters' names, not JUST from the show. :P

@shanado That was taken at a really cool clinic I worked at for a year. We were waiting for the tiger to wake up from anesthesia and I got a couple pictures. I saw 4 tigers, 5 baboons, 8 zebras, 1 spider monkey, and 1 elephant in addition to the normal cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, and pocket pets. Just in that one year.
@LaurelBee I'm, sadly, a former veterinary technician. I haven't found a tech job with enough pay and benefits... yet. Maybe someday when DH strikes rich at his job and my paycheck is just gravy I'll go back. I've been a tech at an exotic clinic and at an emergency clinic, I've been a volunteer zoo keeper's aide, and I've been a volunteer docent. Currently I'm the manager at my local PetSmart. Not nearly as glamorous or exciting, but it brings home the money and still allows me to work with and talk about animals all day! I love talking about animals!

ETA: Thanks @phunkyphish My MIL dropped by my house with a pumpkin and we knocked out the obligatory baby-in-pumpkin pics in less than an hour. DS is such a camera ham. ^_^

The Entire Season 8 comics are 'animated' here. My DH bought me this when it came out, I LOVE it!
Way before I even knew about the comics I read this great book written by one of the writers from the show (but made fun of in the official story line.... the comics). I loved the book. It brought back lots of characters, read true to the show, and combined Buffy and Angel into one great ultimate finish. Queen of the Slayers

Well I might have to check that out. I lurve me some new Buffy material. I used to read fanfiction religiously when I was younger, but it's gotten harder to find good work and my standards have gotten higher as I've grown.
I forgot to mention that I love your Anya bunny avatar! I also love that my intro became a Joss Whedon love fest, lol.

Another Jan 13 mom here..my DS was born on Jan 2nd. I agree its a snoozefest, which is why I rarely post over there, but yes, all the ladies there are super nice.
