Hey ladies! Well, I took 5 pregnancy tests this weekend. 3 EPT, 1 ClearBlue Digital with Week Estimator, and 1 DollarTree test. All 5 came back as positive and my period is still 4 days away. Eeek!! Hubby and I are excited! Here's the issue...now we need to figure out where to find an ob. We live in Blaine but both work in Minneapolis. suggestions??
I also live in Blaine. The doctor who delivered my son (at St Johns) moved to a clinic in St. Paul, so I'm weighing out different options right now. I'm touring the MN Birth Center this week. I'm hoping that I like it as much as I think I will so I can cross that decision off my to do list!
One suggestion would be looking at the different hospitals and deciding which ones you would be okay delivering at, and then finding a provider who delivers there. I went to St Johns and almost everything about it was really great:)
Congrats! I love the idea of delivering at MG Hospital, but I'm having trouble finding a doc that's closer to our home or work. I wouldn't mind UMMC (I work on East Bank) or Mother Baby...it would be nice to have appointments close to our works. Otherwise Unity is the closet to our home.
I work downtown and live in south Minneapolis, and have been going to John A. Haugen and Associates for my OB/GYN appts for years. Now that I'm pregnant, the conveninece of having a doctor downtown has become even more critical--especially since my appts are every two weeks at this point and soon will be weekly. The JAH clinic is located at 8th and Nicollet. I'm planning on delivering at the new Mother- Baby Center in south Minneapolis--I know they deliver there, not sure where else.
Congrats! I live in Blaine as well and I went with a family practice that also does OB. We love Dr. Suzanne Pauly at North Memorial Clinic in Blaine, we delivered at North Memorial in Robbinsdale.
Congrats! OBs at Fairview Riverside clinic are great. I have also heard great things about their midwives. Elizabeth Eckhardt was my OB for both kids, although other doctors delivered them both (their practice rotates who is on call). I love her and generally was happy with my birth experience at UMMC. GL!
I go to Women's Health Consultants. They have 2 offices in Minneapolis, one downtown and one across from Abbott NW hospital. They are wonderful! They deliver at the mother baby center at Abbott. When I had DS I started going there bc I worked in mpls. Now I work from home (I live in blaine too) and I will continue to go there even though its a bit of a drive. I also loved my delivery at Abbott and that was a few months before the mother baby center opened. Can't wait to deliver there this time!
Congrats to u!! and u work on the east campus, small world cause I do too. . What do u do there?? I'm actually in Blaine also and decided to deliver at Unity, closest to home. . One of my good friends works at Unity and delivered both her babies there too, she had a good experience both times. All my appts are nice to get to cause it's on the way home. My OB there is Dr. Green, love her. And there are 2 other good ones, Dr. Hamel and Dr. Wenda are really good too. Good luck
Congratulations! I live nearby, and see Dr. Wust at Allina Clinic in Blaine. Love him! He had a ton of 5 star reviews and was in the same clinic as my GP so I was sold. Delivers at Unity.
Yes I forgot Dr. Wust. I hear good things about him also
Hubby and I have our first appointment at Women's Health Consultants at the beginning of December. I will be 9 weeks. We are excited to deliver at Mother Baby! Thanks for the suggestions
We used to live in Blaine. I went to the Fridley OB group and delivered at Unity for both of my pregnancies. I was very happy with the Fridley OB doctors and my experiences!
