We got an espresso machine from a friend cause she never used it and today we used it to make homemade pumpkin spice lattes! So good and so much cheaper than starbucks! Yum!
I'm working and I'm so bored... I wish we had pretty fall foliage here (I'm in Brazil so it's spring here, although we barely have seasons, it's just "hot" and "not so hot").
I am trying to wait patiently for DH to help me move my grandma's desk into our house. I brought it home yesterday. He had found plenty of other things to fill his time.
@ssmb_clarinet we LOVE our espresso machine! DH was going to Starbucks every day to study and it got expensive really fast. I talked him into buying a machine and that thing is amazing. I even get to treat myself to a latte when I want one.
We're just hanging out around the house. We have a Trunk-or-Treat tonight that we're taking the boys to, so I'm excited for them to dress up and go out.
Zane was up MOTN a couple nights ago and then the next night my BIL got shit faced and I babysat him until DH got home then we stayed up to make sure he didn't die. He was literally that fucking drunk. We sobered him up and started asking questions and he started telling us stuff he doesn't talk about because he doesn't want people 'knowing his past' and he said some very interesting things and very disturbing things. I saw him cry like a 5 times. He literally stood up to go to the kitchen to get some water and he stiffened and fell down like a freaking tree and blacked out and wasn't breathing for a few seconds. Now there is a bunch of tension when he comes over because he knows he needs to have a sober conversation about the things he said, that we got on video, mind you.
LO has been crabby the past 2 days because he has decided to give up one of his naps. I'm wasn't ready for that Little Man.
DH days off can't come soon enough. This stupid 15 on/7 off is killing me. I know it's killing DH too.
Doggiemom, that sounds horrible! Hope BIL gets the help he needs. Sounds like a tough situation. And I hope Z has a change of heart on the no sleeping thing!
We went to a wedding today. The outdoor ceremony was delayed about an hour due to rain, so I was worried that LO would get cranky. He fell asleep and just snored loudly in my arms during the entire ceremony (luckily we sat in the back). He was fascinated by all the flowers and candles at the reception, got to try cake for the 1st time, and danced a little with DH and me... it turned out to be a pretty good day for the little guy.
Re: Weekend Randoms
Late morning nap.
Mid afternoon rest watching movies.
I've got a cold, so I'm taking it easy.
Also, avoiding the in-laws.
