WDPT?

I have to choose where to go tonight. DH got asked 2 weeks ago to be in his brothers vow renewal. (Long story- they got married 3 months ago so they're not calling it a wedding)

I registered for a work meeting 6 weeks ago. (I'm in direct sales) The meeting is free. If I don't attend, I miss training and a free product for next selling season.

We found out Sunday that the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner is tonight. I'm not in the wedding. Should I skip my meeting to attend the rehearsal?

Re: WDPT?

  • Are you commission? How much would the product cost you other wise? Personally, Id go to the meeting if it meant more sales in the future. Rehearsal dinners are boring.

  • @persephonerose - I don't know what the product is. They don't tell us. And yes. I'm commission.

I guess I feel like it's expected I go, cuz ya know, family. But if DH wasn't a groomsman, we wouldn't be there.

  • Ehhh...depending on how benefitial this meeting is to you/your job, I'd say skip the rehearsal and go to the meeting. Esp since you're not in the wedding.

  • @fredalina- that's what DH said at first. But he keeps asking me what I'm doing, then says it's fine lol. I haz the guilt.

  • I'd go to the meeting if it is important for your future sales numbers.  I don't think rehearsal dinners are that important.

  • Thanks everyone. I went to the meeting and it will help my business a ton. No drama that I missed dinner.
