West Chester University of PA for undergrad because it was the only school I got in to haha...I got my BA in History with a secondary ed teaching certification. Then St. Joes University for my masters in special education with a specialization in autism spectrum disorders.
@Rondokye- where in PA are you from? I grew up in narberth, a suburb outside of Philly and live in Phoenixville now (near King of Prussia)
University of Delaware. Went for engineering because of their national ranking, but really was drawn to the color guard/marching band! The campus is the most beautiful too, or maybe i am bias!
I went to The University of Tennessee. I am from Knoxville and grew up going to campus with my Dad (he worked there for a while) and going to football and basketball games. I loved the atmosphere and always wanted to attend.
No, I wasn't in a sorority. I already knew a lot of people that went to school there. Plus, I couldn't afford it.
I went to Michigan State University and got a BS in Family Community Services. My family has a long history with MSU so it was the only place I thought of going.
Debating on when to begin my MSW probably at Eastern Michigan.
@LauraB1016 I went to MSU as well, and graduated with a degree in (now nonexistent) Family and Consumer Sciences
ETA I chose MSU because I wanted to be a vet and it has one of the best programs in the area. I also got offered scholarships, and when I did an overnight visit with a student fell in love with the campus and all of the activities it offered.
I don't think my program exists anymore as well......
I went to University of Tennessee Knoxville for undergrad. I grew up in buffalo, NY and moved to Nashville before high school. I loved the culture of Tennessee football, it is also a top school for exercise science.
I went to PA school for my masters in physician assistant studies at South College, also in Knoxville. South college was convenient and I got in, so that's where I went .

I wasn't that far from you. I went to Loyola University. No Greek life there...but I'm half Greek so does that count?
I went to SUNY Alfred for nursing degree. Community college for psychology then D'Youville college for my bachlors and masters in occupational therapy. Then SUNY brockport for 1 year of PhD but never finished due to health issues. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back.
My Aunt and Uncle own a couple places in Alfred, I love going to visit there!! They own the collegiate and the terra cotta coffe house
Undergrad- The Ohio State University Masters and Internship- Columbia University (NYC) Doctorate- Started at Univ. of Maryland will finish at Rutgers.
Plan on rounding out the education with an MBA. Would prefer Ivy League but I will probably look at an online MBA in 2016...I will choose the best program that has flexibility
@lancomechica what are you doing Ur phd at Rutgers in?
I went to Peace College in Raleigh NC (a very small women's college) I went because they offered me the most money and I wanted to go to a small school. I double majored in Business Admin and Psychology
@Stina2012 I have a interview story to top that. I was interviewing for an HR position in Richmond a couple years ago and the interviewer (who was obviously also in HR and therefore should have been a little better at knowing what to say and what not to say) was talking to me about Peace. There are two women's colleges in Raleigh - Peace and Meredith - obviously we are rivals. There is this saying that Meredith girls say "If you want a piece go to Peace and if you want to get married go to Meredith" (Peace girls flip the two and have the same saying - it just makes less sense). Anyways... so the interviewer is all like "hey you went to Peace, I went to Meredith" and I was like "you want to Meredith that's neat" (I'm sure I didn't say neat but you know..) THEN she says " we have a saying at Meredith if you want to get married go to Meredith and...." then she realized she probably shouldn't finish the sentence. Yeah so the interviewer basically called me a slut ... I didn't get the job...
ETA: @Stina2012 I also went to WM sometime around 5th grade and LOVED it - it was like my picture of what college was supposed to be. I really wanted to go but by the time I got to high school I got a little lazy and only applied to schools that didn't make me write an essay...

That is crazy someone would say that in an interview!!! At least she realized what she was saying!
I went to University of Connecticut for both undergrad and masters... I went there because they had an equestrian vaulting program, it had nothing to do with my major (nursing, then changed to special education), but I needed to do my gymnastics on horses.
After I graduated I moved back to Jersey and did a little more grad school at Stockton College. Not enough for another degree though, I don't think I ever want to go for my PHD.
I went to a small liberal arts college with no grades and no Greek life. My self designed major was entitled "Social and Political Movements in the Twentieth Century United States." My senior thesis was about Abbie Hoffman and the 60s anti-war movement.
My first choice for grad school is Brown. We'll see!
@maryannespier Sarah Lawrence by any chance? My sister went there.
I went to a private college in Western MI. I decided to go there from Pgh, bc they have a really great program for studying abroad, which I definitely took advantage of, and this is so dumb, but people looked like they really enjoyed dorm life.
It worked out for me, bc I met my current bffs within the first few days, bc we all lived on the same floor and in the same area.
Hey I went to a private school in MI too for undergrad! Alma College...where did you go? I went to Central Michigan University for grad school.

I went to Canisius college in Buffalo NY and got a Bachelor of Arts in education and English. I chose this school because its a great private school and they gave me a great academic scholarship.
For my graduate degree I went to SUNY Binghamton an received a master of science in education and English. I chose this school because I was broke from 4 years of a private school!
Went to UTSA. University of Texas at San Antonio. I had my heart set on moving to San Antonio and fell in love with the school when I toured it. I was going to go to Baylor University but I couldn't afford it.
@Stina2012 When did you graduate W&M? I went there too.. graduated wayyyy too long ago (2001)!
Hey! I graduated in 2004. No Homecoming for you this weekend? I don't like going back for big weekends, the Leafe isn't that big!
And yes @ashbromle I used to get in there under aged as well. The kitchen guys would sneak us in.
I've been there for homecoming, so fun let's have a VA meetup at the cheese shop! Bread ends for everyone yum.
The University of Denver for undergrad and University of Colorado at Denver for grad school. Went to DU because I wanted to stay in CO to be close to my family, and I got scholarships/more financial aid than I would have at a public school, so it was actually more affordable for me to go there. Plus, it was my dad's alma mater and we visited together and I fell in love with the gorgeous campus. That is one of my favorite memories of my dad and it is so special to me now that we had DU in common. I was an English major, with a minor in elementary ed and got my teaching license. I was/am a Delta Zeta (somehow I managed to go to a private college and be in a sorority even though my parents had no money, not really sure how that happened!). I did work my ass off in college though so I guess I just made it work. It was cheaper for me to live in our sorority house for the last three years of school than regular rent, so that helped.
Did most of my MA in Curriculum and Instruction (emphasis in K-6 literacy) but didnt finish because I wasn't able to get a teaching job right out of school (not enough jobs for all the licensed elementary teachers) and fell into a job in education management/consulting sales and the money was too good to leave the job to finish the MA and get a job teaching. I still think I may get a teaching job some day, though, since sales is getting old.
I'm graduating from University of Mary Washington in VA next fall with my BS in Psychology with a minor in business. I picked UMW mainly to stay close to home, I'm not one for new places. I'm hoping to start grad school the following fall but I'm not sure where, maybe UMW, maybe somewhere online as I need it to be flexible. I just wanna be done, I may do well in school but it's not because I like it! Haha.

University of Florida over here. BS in business/finance and a BA in Russian language & literature. I went there because it was free through scholarships and was the best school in Fla. I was in a co-ed fraternity- AKPsi. And yes, the fraternity was an amazing experience! Some of my best memories are from those 4 years. I remember thinking how good my life was, I knew how lucky I was
Western Kentucky and then Indiana University. Working on my masters at a private college that offers online courses. No sorority...but was asked to join.
I went to Western Kentucky too! When did you go there?
I did the first two years of undergrad at University of Maryland, then wanted to be closer to home and finished up at SUNY Stony Brook. As my screen name would suggest, I was a Sigma Delta Tau at both schools.
I went to Touro Law School on Long Island for a year and a half but hated law school, so I never finished. Instead, I took my law school credits and got a second bachelors degree through Kaplan (online) in paralegal studies.

STD, just kidding really, I am.... I know how defensive those SDT's can be over the STD NN.

I went to the University of Idaho. I graduated the year a ballot measure passed in OR that capped property taxes and cut funding for education so there was much concern that programs could get cut midway through. Plus the Interiors program at the U of O was 5 yrs and only 4 yrs at the U of I; it was less expensive to go out of state for 4 yrs than stay in state for 5. There was a mass exodus of OR students in Idaho that year. I did not fit in in conservative Idaho.
It is a beautiful campus though. And the Interiors program is part of the College of Art & Architecture, rather than Home Ec so we automatically get a minor in Architecture w/o taking any extra classes. We had a ton of overlap with the Arch students.
I was an Alpha Gamma Delta.
Sometimes I think about going back to get a Master's in Historic Preservation at the U of O if I could do it all at their Portland campus. It sounds fun and interesting, but I'm not sure if it would be financially worth it or not.

@2012ames- I went to IUP for grad school! Well... a semester and a half, then I transferred. Not gonna lie, I hated every minute that I was there!
I went to a small liberal arts college for my B.S., then started grad school at IUP. I finished it through Edinboro University (I went online).
Grad school at Columbia. Enjoyed it as well.
