So who here still loves the thrill of the roller coaster?

DH and I are suppose to go with my sister and BIL tomorrow for freight fest. I am pretty excited about it! Although I haven't been on a roller coaster in about 6 years so we will see how I handle it!

What's your favorite ride?

I hate roller coasters. I will hold all handbags, strollers, food, cups, etc etc....

 

I do like water rides....

riding the bar stool.  I hate rides and amusement parks.  I am trying to decide if I will be depriving my son if I never take him to an amusement park or fair.

Love roller coasters!  My favorite ever is the Medusa ride that they have at the six flags closest to me (that would be the one in NJ).

Love them even though they scare the shit out of me! Fright fest sounds like a blast.

I want to go to Fright Fest! 

I went to SF twice this summer. Once I took my counselors-in-training from summer camp.

The other time all of the camp counselors took our own field trip after camp was over. There were 14 of us and we did the Fast Pass thing.  It was awesome - seriously such a fun day!

If I'm not careful I would seriously take over this thread with my roller coaster geekiness.  

I'm a 2 hour drive from Cedar Point and DW and I go at least 6 times a year.  Our honeymoon was a road trip where we went to 8 different amusement parks from Pennsylvania down to Virginia.

We are seriously considering joining a roller coaster club.

We have an addiction.

I'm still kind of sad our Disney trip was during this pregnancy. Dh rode all the fun coasters without me. :-(

@lexilupin. 2 hours? Whoa! Yeah, I've only waited about a half hour for it. I agree 2 hours is not worth it. The line was long, but it moved quickly.

I won't wait 2 hours for anything. I'll just run to the Gemini which barely has a line anymore. Still love it.

We had season passes every year when I was in middle and high school. Can you believe I actually got sick of going? They have a great Halloween gig, Halloweekends. Millennium Force is still the best. The taller one is sooo overrated.

I'm excited for next summer.  We're visiting my parents in Chicago which means we're going to Six Flags Great America.  They're building a monster of a wooden coaster for 2014.

Ooh I was able to ride that last time I was there, it was great! Do they have any newer coasters? You know what was underrated? Wildcat.

They took out Wildcat a few years ago unfortunately.  That was a fun little coaster.

They also took out the indoor coaster Disaster Transport.  In it's place they put in Gatekeeper this season, the worlds largest wing coaster.

That was the last park we visited on our honeymoon and unfortunately Kingda Ka was closed because it got struck by lightning that summer.

We did ride El Toro which is our favorite coaster, period.
