DH and Facebook

DH is not really that into Facebook. He hasn't updated his status or posted a picture in over a year, and he mainly just goes on to lurk, occasionally comment, or check if anyone has tagged him in anything.

I told him today that it kind of hurts my feelings that he never says anything about me or DS and doesn't have us in his profile picture. His profile picture is from three years ago before DS was even born. I know he's just not AWy, but it almost makes me feel like he's not proud of us. He said, "Okay, you can go through my pictures and tell me which one to use as my profile pic, and I'll change it to whatever you want."

I don't want to be that wife who is bossy and controlling or insecure, but I just want him to WANT to have us in his picture. Do you KWIM, or maybe I should just know that he's not that into FB and not take it personally?

Don't take it personally. It's just not his thing.

Also, I'm not into the family profile pictures. Mine is just me. DH's is some stick figure drawing one of his pediatric patients drew of him.

And it doesn't mean we don't love each other.

Seriously? It's FB. It's really not that serious. My DH doesn't even have a FB (neither do I). He has IG and posts mainly car pics. I could not care less.

You're being kind of ridiculous.

DH's FB use is similar to your H's. His picture is like 5-6 years old. It honestly wouldn't even occur to me to be offended.

Oh I also use FB all the damn time and my profile pic is me. Because...it's my profile.

I'm not majorly upset by it, but it just hurts my feelings a little. I'm also not asking him to change it, but I just kind of want him to want to change it.

I also acknowledge that I am weaning DS right now and either PMSing or possibly pregnant, so my emotions are all over the place. That probably explains a lot.
