NWMR Lego Party

Not working mom related, but have any of you been invited to a Lego Party, or any party sponsored by www.houseparty.com?

My son and I got an invite to a Lego Duplo party from one of his friends. Looking at the website it seems like a Tupperware-type party where someone hosts, kids go and play with the latest legos, and then the moms can purchase them if they wish. Is this how it goes? The website is not too clear on how it works.

I'm tempted to skip it if this is the case.

I signed up for it years ago but never qualified for the parties. From what I remember, you don't have to buy or sell anything, but they do solicit feedback.

Thanks for the response.  Seems like a lot of trouble just to get feedback on something.

Depends on how you look at it.. I think the goal is beyond just feedback but they frame it as the goal being feedback. 

If you see a product on TV or in print, you might think it's interesting, and forget about it. Or see it in the store and not want to waste your money on it if you don't know how it will work or taste, whatever. But if you go somewhere that you get to experience it it, you're more likely to buy it. And if the company's asking for feedback, it creates all kinds of new associations of the company in your mind. It's just a different way for them to spend marketing dollars.
