Quick! Do I send him to school today?

DS was sick on Sunday (fever and cough) and slightly congested yesterday. He slept like a rock last night and just woke up (7:45 pm til 9 am). He isn't acting sick at all but still has a bad cough. No fever. No snot. He's supposed to go to school at 9:45... do I take him? Will people freak out when they hear his cough? He's not contagious.... I don't think. 

Thoughts? Quick... I've got like 20 mins to decide.

Is he feeling ok? Normal activity level and diet? If so, I'd send him. If he's still tired and not eating well I would keep him home.

He seems totally normal... except a cough. I just gave him some honey cough syrup.

If he hasn't had a fever in at least 24 hours and he feels ok send him.

Fever free for twenty four hours without meds?

If so, send him, unless he's coughing up a lot of nasty looking crap or has green snot.

Ok. I'll take him. Just wanted make sure the cough isn't grounds for staying home. This is my first time dealing with school/sickness.
