If you had a master bedroom with a loft...

If you had a loft in addition to the actual bedroom, what would you put in the loft space? How would you decorate it, what furniture, etc? Assuming there is already a living room and a family room with a TV. And the bed and bedroom set is in the bedroom part.

Just house hunting and daydreaming...

Oh man, I'd make mine a book reading scantuary. I'd also not let DH have any part or say in decorating it at all. We really compromise and work together to blend our tastes everywhere else in the house (and I don't mind it, we are married after all), but it would be soft and feminine and wonderful!!

It would be my "library" a bookshelf, wonderful chaise lounge, soft and pretty. Someplace kids were not allowed. No kid stuff anywhere.

I'd make it my own space too. Either for crafting or reading. Soft fabrics, beautiful furniture like a chase with warm blankets and soft pillows!

I would make it soft, warm and fancy. Does that make sense? I would want it to be ALL mine. A place for books, my own craft supplies and my computer/ipad. I would want it to be my sanctuary where I can go and relax and unwind. And after typing all of this, I want my own space!! I'm jealous if you get this!!

I would do a craft space for myself (assuming we had an office elsewhere in the home). Somewhere that I can leave my projects out and not have to worry about little hands getting to them.

I don't want to jinx anything, but if I do I will post pics! It is a completely bare canvas right now. High ceilings, sky lights, neutral paint and carpet. Who knows when I'll have the money to REALLY do what I want with it, but like I said, I can dream!!

A cushion or Lovesac (memory foam beanbag) to curl up and read on with good lighting. I would be in heaven. I love stuff like that.

Am I really the only one whose first thought was something naughty for DH and I....I suppose a nice reading area would be great but an area designated to some fun that the kiddos wouldn't run into things they shouldnt would be awesome

I can't stop thinking about this. How fun it would be to have a hiding place for just me. (For what it's worth, autocorrect changed hiding into grinding and that's funny too.)
