When we got home from preschool today, my kid kept sniffing and sticking his finger in his nose. Finally, he told me, "mama fix it paper in nose". I couldn't see anything, but I took him to the pediatrician just in case. They pulled out four wads of paper AND a tiny rock. Everything was way up there, so far that it wasn't visible without them opening up his nostrils with a speculum. As we were leaving, the nurse suggested that I keep a better eye on him. Thanks. I found the culrpit later - he had a paper napkin in his carseat and spent the ride home shredding it, and wadding up the shreds, and apparently shoving the tiny paper balls into his nose. I have no idea where he got the rock, though.

OMG that is crazy!! It kinda makes me giggle a bit only b/c it's a little bizarre for so much stuff to be in there!

Kids are so freaking weird. Glad he's okay, but HOLY COW that's a lot of junk to be up in your nose!

He has sensory issues. This is not the first time we've had stuff retrieved from his nose and probably not the last. The doctor didn't say anything except that it's the first time she's retrieved so much at once from a kid's nose. :-) The nurse must not have kids. But she's probably in the wrong business because I'm pretty sure this will not be the worst thing she will see in her career.
