Multiples

When could your partner feel your multiples kick from the outside?

My husband is too anxious to feel his girls kick. I am 20 weeks with modi girls. Today my arm was resting on my belly on top of baby B and she moved and it raised my arm! Couldn't believe it.

When did your partner feel your babies from the outside?

Re: When could your partner feel your multiples kick from the outside?

  • We both felt them around 18 weeks, but I'm sure everyone is different. But if you're able to feel them on the outside, I'm sure he'll probably be able to feel it soon, too depending on if he catches it while they're moving.

  • My husband felt them for the first time on August 13th, but I think he could have felt them sooner had they been active when he was around.  I remember the date only because we were on a trip to Minneapolis and it was close to midnight, we had just gone to bed and I rolled over, they started moving and I grabbed his arm and pushed it right where the baby was kicking/hitting.  I was around 22 weeks.  Keep in mind, they'd been active and I could feel them from the outside much earlier, but they were most active when I was sitting at my desk at work or after my husband fell asleep.

Now though, when he tries to feel them kick when they're active they settle down.  He calls himself "The Baby Whisperer".  :)
