Different d/c...feels like the first time

DS is at a different in-home d/c for a week and a half as his regular d/c takes vacation. Today felt like the very first day I dropped him off when he was just 6 weeks old! I know he'll be fine, she is a GREAT person and actually never has an opening because she has such an awesome reputation but she agreed to take him just to help me out as we live in the same neighborhood. 

I think I'm more worried about him liking it and feeling comfortable there. It made me feel better that while I was talking to her holding him he practically leaped out of my arms to get down and play with the other little girl that was already there. 

No real point to this post, just a mini-emotional vent! Why is it some days I feel like DS is such a helpless little guy, just a baby and other days as he tries to take steps walking on his own and feeding himself I feel like he is a big boy!?!
