I'm currently taking online BSN classes and will be done in May. DH is in his first semester of engineering school. Anyone else in school or have a DH in school? How did you balance everything?
I'm in school! DH has a "real" job. So far I've been crappy at balancing things. My research is suffering, but I'm just accepting it at this point. I'm lucky that I'm in a doctorate program so no one cares if I get a 90 or 100 in class and I have been fully taking advantage of that. I have an exam on Thursday I have yet to study for... yup.
I am a student working toward my MBA and work a job that has me in the office about 50 hours a week as well as on the road a couple times each month! I love being busy but have been so exhausted lately it is starting to wear on me. At least I am set to graduate 2 weeks before my EDD (hopefully LO doesn't decide to make an early appearance)! I don't know how I would handle it all at that point!
With #1 I was in school, my last year of law school. I managed to pass all my classes and get all finals taken care of before DD was born on my graduation day. It's possible, just rest as much as possible and prioritize, also have DH help around the house as much as possible so it cuts down on extra work for you. Don't be afraid to ask the administrators of your school and professors for any accommodations or extra time, many are very understanding with that.
I'm hoping I can work ahead over winter break in case I'm feeling too tired and lazy during the last trimester.
Anyone find it hard from a financial standpoint? I think I'm nervous about only pretty much having my income. DH is a server because it's the only job that has enough flexibility to work with school. Everyone says "you make it work" but I think I just need to convince myself we will and get my worries out.
I'm working online on my MSN, and still have about 3 semesters to go. I'm supposed to be starting clinical practicum work next semester, but am stressing out about clinicals + full time work - I'm afraid I'm going to be stretched too thin as I'm exhausted already. H is finishing his last year as an engineering student, graduating at the end of April, and will likely be having us relocate for a job by early summer. So I may be taking a semester or two off of school to have a baby, move, and get all settled in...

I am currently in school and will be done in May (Yay)!! I could add in an extra class and get it done in March but with me working full time its just too hard. DH is also in school and will be done in August. He interns and is in class so it will be a rough couple months after the baby is born and before he is done. He works 6am-1pm and then interns from 1:30-11:30pm every weekday. I am looking forward to having him back in August!

After 6 years of failed cycles, we were blessed with our little man through adoption.
I just started grad school this fall and won't be done till December 2015....but my classes are every other Friday and Saturday so I'm hoping I can figure it out. I was in the last year of my undergrad and finishing my practicum when I had baby #1 and it worked out fine. The only real problem was trying to find a place to pump on campus....not looking forward to that.
I will be! Or, hope to be. I'm applying for a masters program to start in the fall of 2014. Sometimes I think I might be crazy, considering I have no idea what my childcare options are for while I'm in class, but the timing was just the best for us. Fingers crossed everything works out.
DD1: June 2014 - VBM4lyfe DD2: October 2016 DC3: coming May 2019
Right now I'm working on my internship and in the process of starting my dissertation work. I'm also taking one ABA course online which should be my last actual class, thank goodness! I'm in the home stretch for my grad program, but this dissertation is going to be the death of me! I want to defend in early June to graduate in August, but with this baby coming in June, I'm not sure that's going to work. We'll see! It's so nice to have other students on the board.

I'm in college. A junior. I decided to take online classes next semester of what I can. I am also going to have to be transferring to another college next semester which will start my senior year. Frustrating. Fiancé is a resident doctor and he will be moving hospitals next semester and I was gonna stay here and grad but now with the baby we want to stay together. I don't wanna live in different towns.
I'm in a BSN program as well, working full time and we're building a house too! Just have to get stuff done the minute an opportunity presents itself. My only trouble is that I'm just so stinking tired all the time! Good luck in your classes!
DH was finishing up his BS when DS1 was born and then he turned around and started his Masters. He finished his Masters right after DS2 was born. Then I ended up going back to school a year later. I have a BA in Journalism but haven't been able to find a reporting position or even anything in public relations. So I went back to school to head into a medical career. I'm taking next semester off to prep for the baby and besides I have all the basic classes I need I just need to get accepted into the program now. DH wants to start up again next semester and work toward a doctorate.
Oopps forgot the management part: Just gotta make it happen. Kinda harder on me then it was for DH because while he was taking classes the boys got dependent on me so when they need or want something they always come to me and never go to DH. But DH and I just work with each other to make sure things get done. It is a team effort.
I work full-time and go to school full time for my masters in education and quite honestly some weeks I don't know how I do it! haha I am just looking forward to December for a break from school and work. I should be finished in May for school.
@StacyH0507 what's your area of concentration? That'll be nice to finish in May and have the baby right around the corner. I'm hoping mine will flow that easily!

I work full time (as a teacher) and I am in a PhD program. I have one year left. It is extremely hard to keep going this semester, I hate my classes (which doesn't help) and I'm just so tired I want to crawl into a hole and hide.
DH is starting his Bachelor's in May! So, basically we are just a couple who enjoys driving ourselves totally insane!
Student over here! I also work, and am working on two degrees before I attempt Law School. My Best Friend says I'm crazy, but I just like to be efficient. I'm newly expecting so there isn't anything interfering at the moment. I'm sure I'l realized I'm biting off a lot in a year.
@sinnedambition. What are you even doing on this board anymore? I personally think its time for you to find somewhere else to go. I honestly don't give a shit about anything you have to say and an apology at this point will mean absolutely NOTHING to me.
I'm saying this on behalf of everyone that has experienced a loss or the threat of one just get the fuck out of here!!!
I work full time and I am in my 3rd year of doing an accounting degree. At the rate I'm going it will be a few more years before I even become close to graduating.

so you are apparently smart but lack basic human emotions like empathy… are you a robot? you should apologize or leave. no one gives a flying f*ck about your PhD, you still suck @sinnedambition
@Aaward1658@Swilkins1122 Are both of you in online BSN programs? What school are you going through? I finished my BSN in 2012 while I was pregnant with my son - glad to be done!! I went through Western Governors University and really liked it for the most part. Will you continue on or are you done with school after your BSN? I might get a hospice RN certification, but no more formal schooling for me.
I'm in my online BSN through Old Dominion University. Prior to my ADN I earned a BS in Forensic Science but couldn't find a job so I decided to pursue nursing shortly after. Needless to say, I need an extended break from school. I'd like to eventually go back for my master's but maybe when our kids are a little older. Right now it's DH's turn to be in school for a few years!
When I was preg with my first I was working full time and in an online msn program. I planned on getting pregnant and having the baby right after graduation, but things didn't work out that way. I ended up giving birth a month before I finished my last course. It was rough but I managed. Doing it online helped since I could do it from home or during downtime at work. For my last course I actually did most of the work ahead of time so I could just submit it as it was due, which helped because my baby came a little early. I remember doing a discussion board posting from my phone while still in the hospital lol
I'm still in school. I took a year off with DD but cant do that this time. DH and I both work full time and I take night classes online. Its a challenge with DD running around and having to keep up on the house, and heaven forbid someone wants to eat! LOL. Make a day for yourself that's for School work, it helps a lot to have that built into your schedule. Good luck!
I'm taking three classes at a nearby University (not online), and working full time. It is ROUGH, especially given how exhausted and nauseous I am. Most days I have school I go right there from work, and it's hard to find time to eat something other than chips and candy. I'm hoping I'll be able to fit in one more semester before baby, but I'll literally be nine months pregnant taking my finals by that point which is hard to imagine. We'll see how it goes.
My husband just started his phd.. We have 4 1/2 years to go! I worry when we have the baby how he will have time.. Plus we don't make much money! All is well though and will be worth it in the end!
I have been doing homework all day today and praying that this exhaustion goes away soon. I may not make it through this program if it does not! Boo!!!
I am! I am in my last year, working on my Bachelors in Communication at Southern NH University. I love my program, I am just exhausted. Working full time with 2 pre-teen boys, boyfriend on second shift, and college? And growing a baby? I am so tired. Why didn't I do college when I was a SAHM with my first baby? Whyyyy????
I am a student teacher actually! I will be done at the end of March. Since the exhaustion and morning sickness have kicked in, it has definitely been difficult to have my usual energy in class. I'm hoping once I get to 2nd trimester, I can finish strong! I agree how difficult it is balance it all.
Was planning on becoming a police officer within 2 months and found out I am indeed pregnant lol. So now I am starting criminology in January. Anyone who does something else while growing a human is amazing. It's hard bloody work. I tried to take my eggo out of the toaster yesterday with a fork and got a damn good zap lol. Maybe it's a blessing im just taking criminology haha
My husband is in his second year of his PhD. I had our first baby on the first day of classes of his first year of grad. school. This one is due in the middle of three of his comps. I have great timing.
This is my last semester for my BSN in nursing ( it's hybrid- some online, some on campus) all I can say is it would be impossible without my family helping me!!

Crap you just reminded me -- I left my waffle in the toaster and came to work. Damnit! I want my waffle!
