Potty training, that is.

I promised DD2 yesterday that she could wear underwear when she got home from DC today. So I went out and bought her some today.

When she got home, I asked her "Do you want to put on underwear?" She answered by pulling her pants down. lol

The girls are staying home with me tomorrow and I think I'm just going to do underwear and see how it goes. Hey maybe I'll get lucky and that'll be it? What? isn't a woman allowed to dream?

Well, in case anyone is interested, we've still got work to do.

The day started off great, with 3 pee pee's on the potty. Then she shat her pants. Shit got everywhere. All over her legs. The bathroom floor. Me. The change table, her shirt. It was fun.

But the rest of the day went without an incident. We even went to IKEA and she actually told me she had to pee, then ran (side note: I die of cuteness every time she runs. She puts so much effort into it but I swear she doesn't go any faster when she runs than when she walks) to the bathroom and peed on the potty.

The plan for now is to keep her bum-naked in the morning until she poops OR until she has to leave for DC. If she doesn't poop before she leaves, we will put her in a diaper (because her poor teacher has enough to deal with already ) with instructions to put her back in underwear once she's pooped (she's a morning-pooper).

This weekend, I will keep her naked and hopefully I can get her to poop on the potty.

So all in all, not bad. Not bad at all.
