How do you filter your water?

How do you filter toxins out of your drinking water? Do you only drink bottled water, or use a brita filter, refrigerator filter, other? We're looking at a reverse osmosis system, which isn't that expense (around $150 or so) and seems worth it if it really works.

Re: How do you filter your water?

  • We currently use a zero water pitcher. I've looked into RO, but read conflicting information on it (the filters clog up, it removes all minerals so it's "dead" water, etc). I'm sure that there's something better out there, but I didn't want to make a huge investment right now, so I went with zero water since it removes more than both Brita and Pur.

  • We use a brita, but with all the extra information out there about endocrine disruptors (and so many of them being found in drinking water) I'm really thinking about getting a more advanced system that does even more purification.  I'm going to keep watching this thread to see if anyone has any good ideas.
