1. How many weeks? 34 weeks. 4 weeks until RCS.

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc? we have an ultrasound this week to check on little dude. 

3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey? Not knowing if we would be successful. Time was not on our side. Ill be 39.5 when I deliver. It took us over two year to get this pregnancy. I was going to try for another six months and then accept it if we didnt have a second. we were unexplained except for my age so it was hard to understand why it wasnt working.

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)? Need to get a crib and car seat. and finalize the name.

5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them. we have a 6 yo yellow lab named Sydney. everyone loves her. she is a sweetie.

1. How many weeks? 26 weeks and counting. Can't believe I'm almost to the 3rd tri...woot woot!

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc? No new appointments until 11/12. It will just be another regular check-up and then they will check the placenta again at 32 weeks to see if anything has improved/moved. If not, we'll check again at 36 weeks and then either decide if I can deliver naturally or will have to schedule a C-section.

3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey? For me the frustration of not knowing what the problem was and no one listening. With our DD it literally took 1 try (or rather one time of not trying to prevent a pregnancy) and wham...pg at the end of the month! Then it took another 15 months before getting pg again, only to have it end in a CP. All along I knew something wasn't right but everyone just kept saying to "be patient" or "stop stressing".  After the CP it took almost another 18 months to get a diagnosis and another 9 months beyond that to get this baby. I know everything happens for a reason and when it is the right time, but I think as we can all relate that when you want something you can't have time seems to creep a little slower and having patience can be very difficult.

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)? Soso....nursery is half done and I've started to buy a few things here and there again that we need to replace. Work is crazy busy right now with a big event in 3 weeks that I am in charge of planning. I'm hoping once that is over I can focus more on baby girl

5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them. We have a 3 year-old peek-a-poo named Sadie and a 9 year old gray and white cat named Shoeless Joe. The dog is a total mamma's girl and the cat is all my husbands. Hoping they all adjust to the new family member in Jan!

1. How many weeks?  13 weeks!!  Woohoo!  Yesterday was the first day of my second trimester!

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc?  We won't have our next appointment until 11/7.  Nothing new other than the nausea is getting better finally.

3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey?  The depression.  I know it shouldn't have, but it made me feel really bad about myself.

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)?  No prep yet at all.  We are sooooo procrastinating.  Worried anything and everything will jinx this little baby.

5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them.  We have two cats... Bella, a dainty little 6 pound female.  And Butterball, a 21 pound big guy, whose nickname is "the Ball."

1. How many weeks?  12 weeks... almost out of the 1st trimester!!

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc?  NT scan was nerve-wracking (see other post), but everything ended up fine. 

3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey?  Well, the first year, the hardest part was dealing with the let down of not getting pregnant as easily as we did with DD. We had waited to start trying until she was almost 2 thinking it would be fast. During the 2nd year, though, it was coming to terms with accepting my body and not seeing myself as a failure. I couldn't understand why it was happening to us and I was terrified of not knowing if or when we would ever get pregnant. That was scary. It was also hard watching everyone around me go on to have their 2nd and 3rd babies. It felt like all my friends could get pregnant at the drop of a hat, but we had to work for it.

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)?  Haven't done much yet for baby, but I gave in and bought a pair of maternity jeans since mine are so uncomfortable. I went to Old Navy and couldn't find anything in my size. So frustrating! So DH started digging and finally found something for me to try on. They fit perfectly but didn't have a tag. DH said get them anyways. Brought them to the register and they were -- wait for it -- 97 cents!!! I have NEVER paid so little for clothing before!!

5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them.  I have a dog. He's a yorkie-poo named Johnny Cash (he's all black with a white patch on his chest - like a shit). I got him when I was still living with my mom, but once I got married she told me she was keeping him. I guess she got attached!

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc? I have my first u/s next Friday, 11/1 and I am very anxiously awaiting seeing our little bean! After my m/c in March I just want to see a little heartbeat. 

 

3. What was the hardest part of your IF journey? My 3 neighbors all had babies this summer, and seeing them with their toddlers and babies just reminded me that I haven't been able to give DD a sibling yet. Plus my brother and SIL having their second and seeing their kids, who are 2 years apart, interact...I had always wanted my kids close together and each month that went by got harder and harder.

 

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)? My in-laws bought a beautiful crib to keep at their house, and they decided to move out of state and asked us if we wanted the crib (and new neutral bedding, mobile, etc). It matches our guest room furniture perfectly, so we pretty much have the room set!

 

5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them. We have two crazy chihuahuas named Monte and Rex. They drive us nuts, but I totally love them, and they're good with DD.

Joining

1. I am 6w0d today. By my LMP my due date is June 17th 2014.

2. I have my first US Monday the 28th. I am super anxious and hoping everything is okay in there. I am nervous about having an ectopic or MC.

3.The hardest part? Wanting a sibling for DD. I felt like I was failing her by potentially making her an only child despite our best efforts.

4. We turned DD's nursery into my craft room. The crib and dresser/hutch we had for her ended up being a little too big for the room, we decided once we moved her to her big kid room to sell the crib and set. So we are in the market for a new/used crib. I really like the Jenny Lind style. We plan to paint the walls a light gray and refinish a dresser from a garage sale or Craigslist as a changing table/dresser combo. Also DH needs to move all my crafting stuff back to the basement I'm only 6 weeks so we have PLENTY of time

5. Yes a dog, Tucker is 6 years old and a Brittany. We love him and he's perfect with DD. He also must know I am pregnant because he will NOT leave me alone and keep laying on my legs and belly. I told DH it's like he's telling me to rest

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc? I had an appt today with an u/s. Both babies are still doing good. Baby a is 3 lbs 8 oz and baby b is 3 lbs 1 oz. My cervix is staying long at a little over a 4.

3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey? Not knowing what was wrong and feeling guilty because I couldn't give dh a baby of his own.

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)? Still slacking....hoping to get the nursery together sometime in the next week or two.

5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them. Yes...2 cats that I could do without and 2 lab/golden retriever mixes who are crazy, but I love them so much!!

1. How many weeks? I am 27 weeks! 

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc? No updates. I have my ob and glucose test next week. Happy I am almost third trimester. I cannot wait to meet this little girl! 

3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey? The waiting, It fell like we were waiting for results, periods and test all time time. 

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)? It ok. I have to room set, they will be sharing, however I still have to go thru the clothes and organize them. 

5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them. We have two cats and one bunny. The cats are boys and the bunny a girl. We loved them, but with my toddler around, they hide a lot. She scares them a lot. The bunny stays in a cage most of the time, she take her out once in a while.

2. Any updates? A/S? Etc? Had a growth sono today and baby is measuring 6lb 6oz. Looks like baby will be around 9lbs

3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey? The hardest part was having to hear others announce their pregnancies (especially the ones who weren't trying!).  As much as I was so happy for them it made me feel so sad for myself and depressed.  I had a really hard time separating my feelings. 

4. How is prep coming for babie(s)? Pretty much ready at this point. Just need to pack my hospital bag!

1. How many weeks? 18 weeks
2. Any updates? A/S? Etc? Nothing new which is good! A/S coming up on 11/04 at MFM followed by OB appointment. DH has been away so this is the first time for him to meet our OB.
3. what was the hardest part of your IF journey? My DS asking for us to have a baby because he wanted a brother or sister. That coupled with hormones broke my heart.
4. How is prep coming for babie(s)? Not much yet. Starting to clean out the closet in the guest room. Lots of friends/family have offered things to us, just a matter of collecting it all. We have three cribs arranged, so that's a start!!
5. QOTW:  do you have any fur babies? If so tell us about them. We have two small dogs that are very good with DS (DS is pretty good with them most of the time!) I feel bad for our dogs once these babies come. They are both getting older and prefer to spend their days sleeping and our house is going to get a lot busier!
