We don't live near any family, so I used to be totally excited by the idea of our parents getting to see their grandkids on skype, but...seriously. Between DH's grandparents, his mother, his sister, and my mother, it's always someone wanting to skype and DD is only 2 and doesn't really do anything for the first 10 minutes of a call but stare at them, and all they do is try and make her do tricks for them on the camera. "Sing twinkle twinkle! Can you blow popsie a kiss? Can you dance for me?" Not to mention how hard it is to even find a peaceful 20 minutes where DD and the baby are both fed, awake, and happy and how little I want to spend that forcing them both on my lap in front of the computer.
I hate it but I feel like such a jerk saying no.
Re: I hate skype (rant)
Or just don't answer. You don't need to skype with everyone every week.
