Late Term and Child Loss

Intro (DS mentioned)

Hi ladies, just wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I lost our little boy almost eight weeks ago. He was stillborn at 31 weeks, 3 days. They believe due to a placental abruption, but we don't know if that was the cause or happened after. He had stopped moving, and when I got to the doctors, they were unable to find his heartbeat. I was bleeding pretty badly internally, and he was delivered via emergency c-section, while I ended up in the ICU for a couple days, which was quite traumatic in itself. We named him Colton James, and he looked so much like his big brother! It hurts every time I look at my older son and realize I won't get to watch Colton grow or watch them together. These past weeks have been a roller coaster, and reading all of your words of reassurance and encouragement has been such a help. Thanks for letting me share.

    ***Siggy warning***

I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Colton. I wish there was something we could say to bring comfort, but we know there truly isn't. Please use us however you have need. We are here for one another. So sorry for the reasons we have to welcome new mothers, but there will be no other support like a fellow loss mom.
