It's been almost a week we have been home since the NICU and I have convinced myself my LO is sick and were going to the ped tomorrow (on a Sunday). Talked to her ped by phone today and she said to monitor her for now and she will see us tomorrow. Everything is freaking me out. She is eating but not as much as yesterday, she is extra sleepy today, her temps are fine-took them way to many time to mention, she sounds a little wheezy- where is my stethoscope when I need it!
I knew this was going to happen when she came home. That I would worry about everything.
How is everyone else coping? Please tell I am not crazy or heading towards PPD.
UPDATE:::::
Went to the pedi. Ella checked out great. Not sick. I actually didn't think she was once I suctioned out her nose. She was back to breathing great with no weezy sound. Anyways, she does have a yeast infection on her labia. It's small red patches, a pencil eraser in size in 3 spots so we have an ointment for that for the next 14 days. Doc said its super common because of diapers keeping in moisture, being dark and warm. We change her every 2-4 hours, around her feedings, but I will have to be extra deliver I guess. Pedi says she sees at least one baby a day with it, boys and girls. Nothing to prevent it either. So all and all I just freaked myself out over a giant booger stuck in her tiny nose. Although I am glad we caught this yeast infection now. Thanks for all the love for little Ella. We appreciate it.
Re: And it starts...UPDATE! 10/20.
I'll be anxious to hear how ped visit goes!
Not to scare you or anything, but I ended up having PPA (post-partum anxiety) and went on zoloft for about 4 months about 2 months after we brought her home. I was having so much anxiety that she was just going to stop breathing and I wouldn't notice (especially since we only had to do the apnea monitor overnight). Just realize that if the stuff you are worrying about seem to be slightly irrational, it is something that you should bring up to your doctor.
I hope that it turns out to be nothing. Keep us posted how it goes at the pedi tomorrow.

I'm afraid that's where I am heading. I am going to keep active about it and I have my husband looking for it too and if things start to spiral out of control I will seek help.
I am chalking this episode up to her just coming home and everyone adjusting. I'm not sure if she always made these noises and since the NICU was so loud I didn't really hear them. Guess we will see what her pedi says tomorrow.
