Moms of girls (dumb question)

I feel like this has a very obvious answer, but here goes...

For all the dresses with bloomers, how did\do you keep them together

Mixing and matching them OK?

Re: Moms of girls (dumb question)

  • I just put the bloomers on a shelf in the closet above the dresses. Then I mix and match. This became especially handy as DD got older and not all her dresses came with bloomers, which is super annoying.

  • I use the plastic store hangers that have a place to hang the dress and the bloomers. We don't have that many dresses with bloomers, though.

    I do the same.
A lot of their dresses didn't come with bloomers though. For those, I bought a few solid colour ones and mixed and matched. And this past summer, I couldn't find any bloomers that fit, so I bought her plain cotton shorts and they worked like a charm.

  • dress on the hanger, loop the crotch of the bloomers over the hook of the same hanger.
This is what I've been doing.

    Wish I would've done this!

This is how it works in our house too.  Mix and matching is fine though.  Often times I would skip the bloomer because she was wearing cloth and those served the same purpose.

I didn't even realize bloomers were a thing. I'd better hope this next one is a boy because I am grossly unprepared for all things girl.
I've been in boy world for a long time but it doesn't take too long to catch on.
  • I put them in her sock/tights drawer. Also I agree with Crash, I will not put a dress on her without the bloomers. She seems undone without them, plus saggy diaper look.

ITA.  I was so annoyed when I bought a few 18-24 mth dresses that didn't include them.  Who wants to see her saggy diaper when she's rolling around on the floor playing?  If I didn't have a diaper cover, I would use a little pair of spandex shorts.

  • I think it's ridiculous that it's so hard to find bloomers after a certain age. I mean, are they supposed to be potty trained by 18 months??? Even if they are, GIVE ME ALL THE BLOOMERS!!!
