So FUSSY.

My happy and content baby is so FUSSY.  It's been going on for 2 weeks and I feel like I can't it take anymore.  I don't think he's teething, pedi said his gums were still soft.  If I'm wearing him, he's fine but OMG I AM SO TIRED OF BABY WEARING. I DON'T WANT TO BABY WEAR ANYMORE, I JUST WANT TO SIT. My back is killing me from it and OMFG I just want like 10 minutes without the whining, fussy and then hysterical crying if I go to the bathroom...

I'm just venting I guess.  I don't know how much longer I can do it.  His naps have gone to hell.  So I just never.get.a.break.

I feel like my happy and content with his toys baby is gone forever.  He was a fussy newborn but I don't remember it being so bad and so constant.  I want to go wash dishes and clean up from breakfast but I'm dreading it because all hell will break lose if I move.  And there is nothing that makes me break out in a sweat and make my blood pressure rise than a screaming baby.

God help me.

My LO has weeks like those too! Just remember it won't be forever. If you have to set baby somewhere safe and walk outside for a brief breather! Baby will be okay and you can collect your calm again

Everyone said it didn't look like my LO was teething earlier and she popped two out the next week.

If baby is fussy, just remember... Something isn't settling well for LO. He can't explain it to you, so crying is his only way.

Going and getting out of the house helped us during those times. Gives baby and mama a change of scenery, and LO wasn't bored, she was stimulated and it helped keep her mind off what was bothering her.

Agree with pp, sometimes we just step outside and circle our apartment building a couple of times and he's instantly calm. It doesn't give me a break, but it stops the crying.

we just had fuss storm 3.0 last week.  a combination of seperatio anxiety, teething and a cold made her a grumpy goose and i was so sad because before my husband and i took our little cruise she was the happiest and most content baby. but she's back to normal now...

it comes and goes. the 2 weeks before she started to crawl she was a bear, during certain portions of teething she is (she's on her third set of two...), and she she's making an emotional leap she can be grabby.

I read that between weeks 32 and 37 their emotional development takes off and it can lead to out of control fussiness. I can sympathize. Is there anything he can do near you that will save your back?

Basically if I'm not holding and standing he is HYSTERICAL. I just went to the library and walked around Target with him and he was perfect. We get home and I hand him to my husband so I can unload some bags from the car and he's back to hysterics. It's so exhausting. I feel awful when he screams and I have to let him so I can eat or just do something. This is worse than having a newborn I think. At least I could do the 5 S' s and he'd go to sleep. Now he's awake so much longer and angry the whole time

btw your son is ridiculously adorable.

My DD is back to doing this as well.  She's got 4 teeth (and getting 4 more) so we've started finger foods..so if I have to be in the kitchen, I can usually put her in her walker or high chair with some puffs and at least get some ish done.  I've reverted back to baby wearing as well for certain things, which is much more difficult at +20lbs than it was at 10-11.

I could have written your post almost word to word. I'm dealing with the same thing with DD and feel so exhausted emotionally, physically, mentally...when she screams I feel like I am sitting on an electric shocking chair and getting electrocuted all my body gets tense...I feel like someone stole my baby when she was asleep and replaced her with a different baby. My baby napped, not consistent but she freaking did sleep so i could use the restroom in somewhat of a peace. This new kid cries and cries whether she is trying to nap or is awake. She's one unhappy baby. Whoever took my baby, please return her!!!

It's so terrible! I'm actually thinking of calling the pedi today because I'm legit concerned there is something wrong with him.  I don't think it's teeth, his gums feel normal...no lumps and I don't see anything on them.  I just don't know what to do

Arrgh here to. Not all the time but it goes in waves. I really think she has figured out her voice and the art of complaining. She will do it until she gets what she is reaching for or until we find something that draws her attention. Then sometimes I just stare back at her with a questioned look and she grins and does her version of a laugh.

This entire thread-- and especially PP... DS has always been a super happy little man, but these SUPER crazy fussy phases come and OMG! I am a pretty patient person, but I will absolutely admit that there are times I simply need to walk away for a minute. I put him in his crib, and go let the dog out. By the time she's done a minute or two later, he's still pissed- but I have had enough of a breather to regroup and mellow back out. I know it's all normal stuff, but MAN can he be a little jerk some moments! Lol! I can laugh about it now, but it can wear pretty thin some weeks. So yes, I emphatically feel all your pain.

I totally feel your pain PP.  I actually had to take a throw pillow outside with me and scream into it.   I didn't want the neighbors thinking something crazy was going on.  My DS is also very happy, but the fussy phases can really try my patience.  I felt better after screaming into the pillow, but I scratched my throat so it wasn't totally worth it.
