    It will sting no matter what you do but I feel like a phone call is much more appropriate. A text is so impersonal. At least on the phone you'll be able to get a better vibe from her whether she wants to stay on the phone or rather hang up and process her feelings. Good luck to the both of you.

    I would call, too. So considerate of you to ask!

    If it were a friend (not BFF or sister),  I think I would text. But you sound very close to your sister, so I think calling would be better in this case.
