August 2011 Moms

2 kids up tonight....

DD fell out of bed. She not only woke herself up but her brother too. So both kids up in the middle of the night, I'm out of it and DH doesn't bother to get up until I've yelled at him five times. Men.... How the heck do they sleep through this shit?

Re: 2 kids up tonight....

  • I hope both kids are fast asleep by now.
And yeah, sometimes I'm amazed at what DH is capable of sleeping through.

  • Jay is the lightest sleeper on the planet.  I, OTOH, can sleep through just about anything.

Sorry you had 2 up in the MOTN...  Hopefully, the settled quickly and DH was of some use!! :)

  • Oh no that stinks! I can never decide which is worse...when they're both up in the MOTN at the same time.... Or when they alternate waking up, one after the other, all night long.

    Hope you got some sleep!

  • Oh man that suck, sorry mama. IMO I'd rather have both up MOTN at the same time than alternating.

  • It makes me want to strangle my husband when he doesn't hear our kid cry.

    That is all.

  • I really wouldn't prefer to be up at all but I hate hate hate when both kids are crying at night and I can't comfort them both at the same time. My DH has been traveling a lot recently for work and this happeed twice to me. I just felt helpless. :(

Aw I'm sorry Mama - I know what you mean. It really sucks when both little ones really need you and you just can't tend to them simultaneously.

Awwww, that's so rough :(  That's absolutely the hardest part for me.....when they both need me and there is only one mama to go around!

  • Well, just so you know you're not alone...

It was just me and the kids tonight.

It took me one whole hour to get them all to bed because as soon as I put one of them down, another was up, waking up the one who was actually sleeping. Ugh.

  • Bedtime has been a struggle with DD recently. She of course always wakes up DS... I cannot imagine adding another LO into the mix! You're a saint MadameHa!!
