DS came into my room this morning and we snuggled for about fifteen minutes before he told me he had a treasure for me. He often gives us imaginary treasure so I held out my hand and asked what it was.
He said, "a really big spider!" and then actually handed me something (I was expecting the imaginary treasure) and that something MOVED.
I was out of bed and across the room before he laughed and said, "I was silly. It's a 'pillar!"
It was a damn caterpillar.
Apparently you can make me afraid of bugs.
Re: Bug haters, I have a story
Spiders are no joke in my house. I can deal with anything as long as it's not a damn spider.

How very softly you tiptoed into our world, almost silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footsteps have left upon our hearts. - Dorothy Ferguson
Unfortunately, DS1 is in that phase. He will pick up anything. DH encourages him to scare me with them too. Asshole.
