I'm sorry. It's so hard to watch people you love go through this. My great Nana went through something similar (I'm not sure what she was diagnosed with) when I was younger and I remember feeling so awkward trying to visit with her (you know how kids are) but every now and then there would be a moment of clarity where she would remember who we were and ask us relevant questions and those moments were precious. You didn't piss of anyone. It sucks balls but it certainly isn't your fault. Please don't be hard on yourself.
