Just had his 4 month vaccinations; took them like a champ yesterday. He seemed very normal to me after, maybe a little fussy in the evening but what else is new?! Slept well at night. Today however he seems much more sleepy and less alert than normal. He seems to want to sleep all day and only wake to eat!  I am sure I read that's normal after a vaccination but how long does it last? A few days? He seems a bit warm too, but temperature is normal.

Thank you. I must be out of my mind but I want to wake a sleeping baby! I miss playing with him and of course he's about to sleep through the next feed (the usual time -ish )

I literally just learned this tonight after a call to the on-call ped.  Reactions from shots can last up to a week.  My LO just had four month shots and was fine till tonight when he developed a fever.

My 4 month old was fine until he woke up screaming worse than he was when he received the shots. He's sleeping through going on 4 hours, thank God. But guess who should be sleep!

Mine is sleepy the day of and then needs pain meds once per day for a max of three days.

When my son got his vaccines last time that sort of reaction lasted 2-3 days, but it took him almost a week to get back to eating as much as he was before the shots.
