Working Moms

Intro

Hello ladies, figured I'd introduce myself on this board.

My daughter was born July 20, I've been back to work about 2.5 weeks now. The transition has been surprisingly easy...I'm just waiting for the hammer to fall. I EP, which is really starting to weigh me down (but I think it's just hormonal right now...and I think I was using the wrong size flanges (ow!)).

Hope to get to know you ladies well!

  • Welcome to the board!

Hopefully that hammer never falls. Take one day at a time. ;)

  • Welcome to the board!  It's a great time to return to work because holiday season is right around the corner and if you're like most you'll have time off. A wonderful transition back into the work place.

  • Thanks! I'll be able to have a couple of extra days off, which will be nice, but the business area I work in has about 36 people total to staff an internal hotline that helps client facing employees (call center environment) so it's difficult to accommodate everyone's holiday schedule. Although, my direct boss is awesome because even though the managers said I wouldn't be able to get christmas eve off, she explained to them that my daycare was closed that day, so I wouldn't be able to come in anyway, and she told me to go ahead and take the day. :) My boss definitely makes transitioning very easy.
