Linc/Link?

My husband and I love the nn Link but aren't as crazy about the full name Lincoln.  Our last name is just one syllable so we need a longer name for the first name, plus I don't think Link would be a strong enough name for a grown up.  I've tried googling but couldn't find any other full names for Link other than Lincoln.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

Link makes me think of the Zelda video games... I just don't care for it. Lincoln might be ok, but I don't have any other ideas for you... sorry!

I think Link is cute. But I like the nerdy Zelda vibe. I like Lincoln but can't think of any other formal names for Link. How about Link a a mn?

lol - We are calling this LO "Zelda" until we meet her and choose her real name (Zelda is NOT on the table for real names).  When I told my dad, the first thing he said was "if it was a boy, would it have been Link?"

PPs mentioned some names, but I really don't see "Link" being short for anything but Lincoln (because the others don't sound similar) - then again, nn's don't always have to be directly tied to a name, it can just be something you like.

You could use lincoln as middle name and nn Linc. A lot of people go by their mn. Then you could still have longer fn you love.

Or you could do Linus fn with maybe a K or C middle name to get the "Link" however nn don't have to go with the name perfectly so the other Linus suggestion I think would be fine too.

For what it's worth I do love Lincoln and nn Linc
