Loving family dollhouse, 3 different furniture sets for it, pattern blocks (M&D), a duplo set (She has two small duplo sets now that she LOVES--but she always seems to run out of pieces while building), tag reader, toy story toy.
(Some of those gifts were are a huge discount sale, or were bought with amazon points)
For Christmas: Little tikes basketball set, soccer ball, Rescue Center Imaginext playset.
Some ideas we are giving people are lincoln logs, klip klop little people stable, wooden blocks, dress up clothes.
What do you get a one-year-old? DD's bday and Christmas are both in December. I just told my parents to get her one of the convertible car seats we need (or they can get both if they are feeling particularly generous). She's got a good amount of toys/books/clothes. DH wants to get her like a big playhouse type thing that will definitely take over the family area. I am not a huge fan of that idea (mostly due to space issues) but I got nothing.
@peanutrach1 We got DD2 this for her 1st birthday. She absolutely loves it. It's not a full house, so doesn't take up much room and you can easily move it out of your way when needed.
I haven't read through all of the replies, but they also make a farm that is super cute. We got it at WalMart on Black Friday for $40. My MIL got her the house for Christmas, so we have both. DD really enjoys playing with them and they take up next to no room.

We got this as a hand me down from someone at my office. Dd is 2 and she still plays with it. She loves it. Only problem is she keeps asking me to crawl through it. Aint no way mamas fat ass is fitting through that doorway.
