Help! Scared and spotting!

I'm trying my to worry but ant help it! I am never regular wih m period but I usually start between 13-16 of every month - Monday 10.14 I took a pregnancy test and got my BFP. Took a second one yesterday and another positive! (Y I'm here) figuring I'm about 4weeks, 5 days pregnant, yeaterday i had 2 episodes of very intense sharp ovary pain on the right side and today I woke up with very faint brown discharge. Throughout the day it disappeared but now I have cramps and a little more reddish when I wipe. Do you think I am
Miss carrying? I don't remember this with the last pregnancy.. It's so hard to know if the tests were wrong and this is the start of my period or if I'm just being paranoid. Help!!

If you turned a test positive, it means you are pregnant - congrats!  

Spotting can be common in early pregnancy, so it is hard to say if you are miscarrying or not.  At this point, you really can't do anything about it aside from monitor it.  I wouldn't worry too much (at least I'd TRY not to) about a little spotting here or there, but if it persists or gets heavier, you might want to call your doctor.

Thank you! I know there is nothing I can do and it's so early but never had this with the first baby so it's scary!

^ wss. It's fairly common, it could be the embryo implanting into the uterine wall. Just monitor it. If it does become heavy and bright red that's when I would call.

This same thing happened to me last Thursday. I suddenly had painful cramps, went to the bathroom and wiped, only to find bright red blood. I went to the ER, where they did blood work and an ultrasound. They found that I have a sub chorionic hemorrhage, which is actually pretty common in 1st tri. I am now on pelvic rest and have to go back in for a follow up ultrasound. 

I would recommend calling your doc and seeing if you can get in. It may be nothing, but it might be something. For me personally, I would rather know than worry myself sick guessing. Good luck, and I hope it's nothing too serious!

Thank you all!! Appreciate the responses. Spotting upped to bright red this evening but its very little almost non existent an cramps have subsided. I will call if it is still here in the morning. Thanks again!

I would definitely still call regardless of whether or not there is still cramping and blood tomorrow. You're pointing toward pain in your ovary, so my fear in reading your post is that you may have an ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancies are very serious and can have long-term effects on your fertility, especially if not addressed quickly. T&P and FX for you!

I had bright red spotting and cramping all day yesterday. My dr sent me for blood work immediately and then called me today to say my levels looked good and high but still wanted me to come in for an ultrasound. Its the first time i'll get to see our little peanut, but I just wish it was under happier circumstances. I just hope everything is alright.

@Lilpnut2 I would still call your dr. they still may want to send you for blood work or even an ultrasound.

Thanks for your concern! I was worried all day bc of mc or ectopic but if ectopic do you think I'd be in more continual pain? I only had sharp pains that lasted like 5 secs a day ago and haven't felt them since..

@lilpnut2 I only had one day of it as well, but my dr must of thought it was enough if he sent me for blood work and an ultrasound. Doesn't hurt to just find out and make sure everything is okay...

@lilpnut2 I don't know about symptoms, just that several people I know IRL have had them, resulted in emergency surgery to remove part or all of their fallopian tube. So personally, I would respond quickly to any sharp pain right now. I don't want to be alarmist, I'm just a concerned fellow mommy. Please update this thread tomorrow and let us know how you feel!

I'm not feeling any pain right now but the spotting stops when I'm laying down for a while and starts again as soon as I start walking around again I'm definitely callin in the morning

I'm also only 4 weeks and havent even seen my new dr yet so not sure what they would even do at this point.. But will call anyway

I'm so sorry to hear that the spotting continues. I've had good and bad spotting before, it's hard to tell on your own what's going on. I would ask your new Dr (or any Dr in the practice that can take you in the morning) to do a quick ultrasound. 

I sneezed and felt my round ligament pain again, so I looked it up to read more about it. Are you familiar with what that feels like? Just wondering if maybe that was the source of your earlier sharp pain.

This morning it's back to reddish/brown spotting no more bright red but I have to wait until 8am to call..
It's so weird... Really praying its nothing to worry about!

Well it's not looking so good.. Wet to the dr. She checked me and sai it could be normal but that there was "a lot of blood" but they drew blood to check my levels and will re-draw on sat. unfortunately ill have to wait til mon to get the results. but the de said ill either continue to bleed more by then and know im miscarryig or they will have an answer if its normal bleeding. Couldn't help but cry- even though I'm only 5 weeks we have been trying for a while and I don't want to go back to square one... Could use some happy thoughts / prayers..

I'm in the exact same situation. Dr appt yesterday due to bleeding and a follow up this morning. It doesn't feel right and it hurts. I've cried too.

I'm sorry you are going through this too... I just hate not knowing. Bleeding for 2 days now and it's gotten a little heavier but not like a period. Horrible cramps and a little mild "ovary" pain. I even had Terrible thoughts that I was never pregnant and the 3 tests I took were faulty. It's just horrible not knowing and I just keep crying. These next 3 days will be the longest and I'm dreading it.

I understand completely. I'm so sorry you are going through this. No matter what happens we were definitely pregnant. I keep crying too. My bleeding is heavier and the cramps have been unbearable in many cases. I hope to know more later today and am trying to rest until then.

Nothing like that for me. I wouldn't be able to go to work if I tried. I left yesterday morning. Will go back next week.

I just took a test at work and its negative so I'm fairly certain I'm in the same boat. Go for confirmation tomorrow.. prayers for both of us for sticky babies next time.

I am so sorry to hear this for both of you. I lost my first baby in July at 5w6d and didn't find out until 8 weeks and then miscarried at what would have been 10weeks. If you ever need to talk just message me on here. Also the miscarriage and loss board is a wonderful place with great ladies on there I would go there when you are ready. They helped me a ton.

Most spotting this early cannot be explained and cramping and even a tight sensation in your lower abdomen/uterus in normal. I had 2 weeks of spotting with my last pregnancy that was unexplained and it ranged from dark to bright red. Now my LO is a healthy and happy 14 month old. Let your OB know what symptoms your are experiencing and stay optimistic

Thank you everyone for the thoughts. Finally received my test results and hcg levels were at a 2 so most likely miscarried earlier so sad but at least I don't have to wait until Monday and got confirmation
