30 day shred peeps

Did you start last night?

I tried. I got dressed,set up in my room,movie on and my mil showed up.

I almost didn't answer, but my kid ran to the door. Everything is still ready for today so I will start.

    I tried. I really did. I got 5 minutes in and the toddler started freaking out. For some reason anytime she sees me doing squats she demands to be picked up. Weirdo. Anyway, since I wouldn't pick her up she made it impossible for me to continue. Then she didn't go to sleep until 10 and I was too tired to do it then. I was going to try again this morning, but I overslept.

  • I did day #1 last night. Not pretty but glad I got the ball rolling. I think I chose hand weights that are a bit too heavy so choose wisely.

    What weights did you use?

  • @jack19 I was doing squats with overhead press. If I do just squats I'll pick her up, but I couldn't last night.

  • I just wish I could get through it!! I've had the DVD for over a year now, and have only lasted 2 weeks each time I've tried it.  I get bored with it and quit, then a few months later I'll try again, only to get bored again!  I need to lose like 20 pounds so maybe the shred isn't for me.

    LOL this is me too. I've had it for like 3 years and have yet to complete it. I don't think I've ever even done the third workout.

  • Just did Ripped In 30. I've been switching it up betweeb 30DS and Ripped in 30 lately. Either way I'm glad to have my workout done. I needed to get my sweat on. Hopefully my mood will improve now!

    I started on the 1st. Haven't done anything since Friday. I'm going to get back to it tonight. Stupid period.

  • I have been running for almost a month and I just started c2k.
  • I just did day 1! Got my ass out of bed when DH left for work at 4:30. Now I need all the coffee.

  • I did like 90ish days of it while I was on maternity leave/summer vacation.
    I had a plan to still work out and run once school started. We're not even through the 2nd month and I'm already failing at that.

    I need to start making time because even though I'm back to pp weight, my belly is not looking good!
  • @reesefox Please school me on HOW THE HELL to wake up anytime before my kid does. DS wakes up around 8am. There is absolutely NO reason I shouldn't be getting my ass up by 7am to have coffee and workout....but it seems to never happen that way. I hate having to squeeze my workout and shower in at naptime. I suck at this!

  • @MrsT0514 I just really prefer to workout on the morning. It makes me feel good for the rest of the day. Also, if I don't do it first thing the odds that I'll do it at all are low. I just try to remind myself of these things when I'm all snuggled in the covers and don't want to get up. It's not a fool-proof method, but it works sometimes.

  • @reesefox I hear you. I'm definitely a morning person also when it comes to working out. I find it really sets a good tone for my day. Now of I can only have the willpower to drag my ass out of bed in the morning!

  • I know the morning sucks, but once you get in the habit it's not so bad. I've been getting up at 4:30 to pump because I just couldn't handle taking too many pump breaks during the day. At first it was torture. Now it just is.
