recommend a Basal Temp Thermometer?

I'm starting to chart and don't know which thermometer to buy. I read a bunch reviews for a few on amazon and they were all pretty bad. Is there one you ladies would recommed?

I just bought one at Target, although I just bought a new one a year later and replaced the battery once.

I Don't know if its accurate in getting my temps but it does show the shifts in temperature.

last night I put the new and old in my mouth to test, old one tested 97.3something, new one tested 96.9 and they were both in the same time, decided to wait on the new thermometer till next cycle, which sadly seems to be coming sooner then later

I buy a couple here and there at the dollar store.  I always misplace them even though I was pretty sure I kept putting it back in the same spot.  You do not need to buy a super expensive one.

Thanks ladies. I ended up buying the only one I could find in a store which was the nexcare brand. It seems to work ok, but its only to the tenth degree, and I thought the point was to get a reading that was to the hundredth degree. Maybe I'm not understanding properly.

If your temp changes, it will more than likely be half a degree to  degrees....that will register on a cheapie.  I know from my charting what my baseline is so anything that varies even a tenth signals my ovulation is starting.

Get what works for you and what you feel comfortable with.  This can be a long and expensive process, so I skimp where I can, especially if I'm having to pay for the fertility meds.  Best of luck and keep us posted!
