3rd transfer. Bleeding.

I am 10dp5dt and bleeding brown and bright red. Enough to get all over the toilet paper and a small amount on a pad. This started 6 days ago. All hpt are positive. My beta is on Tuesday. I am really struggling emotionally. I can't believe I am having another failure. This is our 3rd failed transfer. I am devastated. For you ladies that bled in early pregnancy, was it a lot if blood?

Unfortunately I did not experience bleeding in early pregnancy, but I have read about it often on here, and non-IVF friends experienced it, too. I think it can be enough to soak a pad and sometimes it's still ok. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Sending you huge hugs and thoughts and prayers. This IVF stuff is exhausting. Try to take care.

I don't have any advice for you really, just wanted to say how sorry I am that you are dealing with this. I didn't realize you were still getting + tests! Does your RE have anything to say? What sort of progesterone are you on? Any cramps?
I'm sorry for all the questions, just grasping at straws for you. (((Hugs)))

Gosh, I'm so sorry you're going through this! I got my BFP through IUI rather than IVF however, I did have several incidences with bleeding throughout my pregnancy. Not quite as early as you but close to it. It was bright red and when I wiped it saturated the tissue like a heavy menstral blood flow. My RE said if your not drinking enough water while on progesterone this canhappen along with many other reasons. As hard as it is just try to stay positive and try not to let the stress have a negative effect on your body and that embie trying to get snug. Sending lots of T&P'S your way!!

@twists: thank you so much for your kind words. I am barely hanging on emotionally. RE still won't do a beta until Tuesday. Yes, all hpt are still positive. But I am just bleeding and bleeding.

i bled in the first tri but not until 11 weeks due to an SCH.  I've heard many ladies have an SCH earlier on, like 5 or 6 weeks?  If all HPT's are positive I would take that as a good sign.  I take it you have been in touch with your RE about the bleeding?  They are still saying just hang on until beta?  sorry you are going through this and having to wait.  Try to drink lots of fluids and bedrest until your betas and you get an answer from the RE.  Sending positive thoughts your way!

Best of luck. I bled before beta with my c/p and my fresh cycle bfn. Both were full flow-more than you are describing. I hope yours turns out to be implantation bleeding; I've read plenty of ladies who went on to have healthy babies despite early bleeding. Are you on progesterone sups or blood thinners? This can make it worse.

I bled the day before my beta. And some after too. My RE told me that 50% of ivf pregnancies bleed. It was scary and I was sure it was something wrong. However, I am 16 weeks now.

You girls are incredible! Thank you so very much for your kind words. I am on estrogen, vag crinone & aspirin.
Beta is tomorrow, but doc is already planning a diagnostic hysteroscopy for Thursday.

I bled starting on day of beta at 9dp6dt. Sometimes it seemed like a lot. Most of the time it was brown but rarely it was red. It was constant for about 10 days, mostly when I wiped but sometimes I had to wear a pad. RE never found the source of it. I've been a spotter this pregnancy too but so far baby is healthy and I've had no other problems. I was put on restrictions (ie no heavy lifting, working out, or sex) for the whole first tri. GL. You're not out of it yet. My betas always doubled nicely. Sending lots of positive beta vibes!

I spotted after my hpt was positive and I remember the freaking out feeling all too well! I asked my nurse when I had my beta and she said it was normal. I don't remember how much bleeding but I do remember seeing a clot and thinking we were done. I'm 25 weeks along now! Try to stay positive- I know it's super tough!GL!

I bled and bled starting a couple days after my first positive beta. It went on for a couple weeks. I was constantly sure it was about to go south, but my RE just kept saying that the body can tolerate a LOT of bleeding, and with all the hormones, steroids, etc. my lining was a big cushy blanket full of blood that sometimes sheds slightly post IVF. And my betas just kept increasing. One thing I did towards the end of the bleeding that may have helped was to draw back on how far in I was inserting the Crinone - I would only insert the tip about an inch and then squeeze. This on the off-chance that I was nicking and/or irritating my cervix with the tip.

I do not have personal experience with bleeding during pregnancy, but I know there are quite a few girls here who have dealt with it though. Bleeding is much more common in IVF pregnancies. Hang in there, you are not out of the running unless your doctor says so. Good luck!!!
