Induction fail - going home

After 3 days in the hospital trying to induce, they are sending us home. Very little progress softening my cervix and it's still closed. The doctors aren't too keen on an elective c section at this point and babies are still ok in there, so we're going home and returning tomorrow night to try the whole thing again.

I'm so bummed out to leave the hospital without babies and I don't see how coming back tomorrow and trying again will make a difference. Ugh- what a huge let down:(

I'm sorry you're disappointed. But keep those babies cooking and hopefully your cervix will have some time to ripen and you get a vaginal birth

My 3 day induction fail turned into c section after my kidneys shut down and I started going into pulmonary edema from the pre e !

I sorry, that has to be so disappointing! But big cudos for picking a doctor who has the patience and humility to accept that it isn't working and to give your body more time. Hopefully relaxing at home another day will be just what you need to make next time a success!

sorry. They will be here soon. At least u get to take it easy at home for a while. Those L and D beds were hell for me.

Sad face!!! Glad your drs are trying to keep in mind what is best for your body and your babies.  Hang in there.  Praying that your cervix opens up!!!

My SIL carried her twins to 40 weeks and they both needed every day of it, so I know it sucks, but maybe your los are just cooking until they need to.    It won't be long!  Sorry for the disappointing few days.

That's so disappointing! I'm sorry you're having to go through that. It is good to know that your doctor isn't pushing for a CS. Thoughts and prayers for you...hopefully those babies will be ready to make an appearance soon!
