So kind!!!

Yesterday was an amazing day, my girlfriends threw us a couples shower and we had a great time. But before that, DH and I have been trying to think of something for our nursery wall, we had asked one if my girlfriends daughters to paint something for us but she declined and sent us to one if her friends, DH remembered that he was friends with a retired (super talented) art teacher who ge had met thru the art center we all volunteer at. The gentlemans wife passed three years ago and there was a benefit that DH helped with, I was out of town and had never met his wife, anyway, he stopped by yesterday to look at the nursery and we explained some if the ideas we had to him and he said, 'I will sketch a couple ideas up and we can have dinner, but I will not accept any kind if payment from you, it is my gift back for your help when my wife passed.' DH and I were both so overcome with tears! It was a very emotional day but we are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!

A friend did give us an idea on how we can 'pay' for the work that artist will be doing, we can make a donation in his wife's name to the local cancer center. We thought that was an awesome idea!
