DD has been sick since Thursday night...the third kid to be sick at our home daycare (5 kids total). Friday her fevers were mostly below, but around, 103. Fever broke 1 am Saturday but returned later that morning. Saturday it remained but hovered lower...mostly under 102. DD had decent day except for being tired...ate some lunch and dinner (light but something) and played happily most of the day. Fever didn't even spike in the evening like it tends to do.
Now she just woke up with a fever of 104.3. I had given Motrin at 6:30 and gave her some Tylenol at 11:30. Really hoping that it brings it down but don't want know if I should bother her to find out (we have an ear thermometer).
Looking for advice/reassurance that anyone can give. This up and down business is driving me mad. I thought she was getting BETTER!

If it is still high in the morning call your doctors office or nurses line and see what they recommend.
Also be careful with a cool bath, too cold can shock the body.
She never had the fever beyond 10 days, which is the point at which they would have done bloodwork etc. or if it went over 105.
I say, if LO isn't herself, and you're concerned...call or go in.
As long as they are eating/drinking and alert they will be fine. Its concerning when they stop eating/drinking and is hard to wake.
I hope she feels better soon!
DS had croup a few months ago, and his fever spiked to 104.8 during that time. I freaked out, called the doctor, and they reassured me that as long as he was responsive and wasn't just completely limp and out of it that it was OK to just give a luke warm bath with motrin and plenty of fluids to see if that worked.
The fever came right down after the bath, but I know how scary that can be!

Just my experience. I never wanted to be the mom that overreacts, but sometimes you just gotta trust your gut
