Elliott or Ellis for a little boy?

I much prefer Ellis.

Elliott is a fine name, but it's the name of a county here, so it's hard for me to separate it from a place in my mind. Also, it's just NMS.

I like both, but since Ellis is unisex I slightly prefer Elliott for your boy name.

I'm probably the only one that will say this but I think of Ellis as a place name (Ellis Island) and I'm not from New York. Since I'm not a fan of place names I would go with Elliott. Elliott is a great name

Elliott is pretty much the only boy name DH and I both love, so I'm partial to that! Unfortunately the first times I met an Ellis they were female so I always thought Ellis was a girl's name. I didn't meet a male Ellis until college so the name has always seemed feminine to me.
