DD is hitting

Need some tips ladies. When DD does something bad we have told her non and do the 1, 2, 3 count then swat her bottom. Well lately she has started telling us no and swatting at us. I think we will have to stop with the spanking and do timeouts instead.

My question: is anyone else's kid doing this? What do you do? Who uses timeouts and how do you handle it?

    If Lincoln hits or otherwise does something bad, and I scold him, he gives me a gentle punch. It doesn't hurt and he barely taps me, but it is a super annoying way to show me his disdain.

    Cool advice! Thank you ladies! Oh and DD loves deodorant also, haha. I am hoping she will get the idea to actually stay in the chair we put her in for timeout sometime soon. Right now, she keeps trying to get up. I am making her stay in until she stops crying (the drama queen cry as we call it),but have to make her sit back down several times in the 2-3 mins she is in.
