That kept happening to LO with poop coming out and up the back if the diaper. It was really ruining her onesies. I was like WTF?! The diapers were to small for her. I was sad to move out of the newborns but we are much better now. Oh for any stains I just dry them in the sun. The stains come out like nothing was ever there.
He was 7.5 at the pediatrician this morning wearing newborn sizes, I just checked and size 1 starts at 8 lbs. have you ladies had any problems moving up a size before reaching 8 lbs?
My little girls was under 8 and we didnt have any issues with the size 1. A friend had issues with Huggies with her little boy though....she swore pampers didn't have the leak problems.

Haven't tried Huggies, but I can say we haven't had any trouble with Pampers Swaddlers or Seventh Generation.
It's the little smugglers that I have ATM. I got two packages at my shower, so I guess we will be returning them for pampers, which I've been using since he was born without issue.

I'm out of the norm. Huggies have worked so good for us. Pampers (which work for the whole population, lol) did not work for us. Hopefully they do better for you. GL!
I used Huggies NB until the umbilical cord fell off because of the awesome little notch in the front. Once it fell off, I moved up to Pampers Swaddlers size 1. Interestingly, the hospital used the Pampers size 1 for all newborns except premees. Bigger is usually better when it comes to containing all sorts of messes. And yes, make sure he's pointing down when you close his diaper.

I'm out of the norm too I guess. Have only used huggies for DD and only ever used them for DD1 as well and never had any issues, pee or poop. Maybe they work better for girls..
I hate Huggies! They did not work at all for our son. They leaked from the legs too. Pampers have never leaked for us. We haven't even had a blow out on bad bowel movements.
Huggies were awful when DS was a baby, but their overnites are awesome. I've been wondering if I should try a cheaper brand, but we really love pampers.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Pampers lovers over here! Our son leaked through the legs all the time with Huggies. We tried cding but got a horrible rash so had to go back to sposies for a bit. We have to go to the next town over to get pampers but it's so worth it.
We have a girl but we have the same problem with Huggies except it is poop coming out the sides. We use Pampers now and don't seem to have that problem.
We also live Pampers here. Huggies and Luvs leaked like crazy with DS. Also, you may already be doing this but make sure the little ruffles around the legs are out. It makes a world of difference with leaks.
I've heard several times that the target up and up brand is awesome. I will be trying them soon.
I've heard the same thing . I just got home from target and used a gift card to buy pampers and one small pack of the up and up brand. Hopefully they work for LO bc they are cheaper than Pampers.

The issue is huggies never had dry clothes when I used them!!!
I have to agree with this. Then again I think it's bc my LO is narrow and skinny and I've always heard Huggies are better for chunky babies.
Did you just call my baby fat??!! Lol! J/k! Her thighs are little chunkers!
Haha no I didn't. My baby is just all skin and bones.
@HisChamaoleGirl Awe! Let us know how the up and up brand works out.
We have used the up and up brand for DD1 for a while now, and they are seriously awesome. We started off with Pampers for her, but changed at size 2. Never had a problem with leaks and they are so much cheaper! Like half the price of Pampers sometimes.
We had one NB pack for DD2, just to try since we switched later for DD1, and I think they were great. Even had the wetness indicator like the other brands, and again half the price.
For sure sticking with them for both girls now. I really recommend them!!!
Wow! Very awesome, thank you. I'm excited and.....drum roll please, I have a Target Red Card. Winning!!!

I too have the red card and while I appreciate the 5% off, sales tax just went up to 6% here so I don't feel as excited for the "discount" anymore.

This may be a premature review since she's only been through three of them, but so far they are great. I changed her diaper upstairs and left the pack of up & up downstairs so I used a Huggies ... and it leaked like crazy. all over LO sleeper and bedding.
Where I am the Pampers are 29 cents each and Up&Up are 19 cents. I'm hoping they work out in the long run bc that's a savings I can look forward too
