Does Graco really d/c patterns in December??

This was posted in 2nd tri but does Graco really discontinue all patterns from 2008 when 2009 comes around?  If this is true I'm going to be upset as I want most of the deco gear but I did not plan on purchasing it till february.

Oh gee, I hope not!  My shower is a few weeks away.  So far, my MIL has purchased our stroller, but we still need 2 car seats in the same pattern.  I will admit, the stroller was hard to find.  BRU wasn't carrying the pattern anymore, so she finally found a store with it in stock.

If they do, you can always call them directly, and order it.  I called and ordered Huntington (I think it's called) and they ship for $8.95

Thanks Cash! I won't worry too much then! I suppose the world wouldn't end either if I had to find another pattern lol!

Most brands discontinue their patterns from that year at some point between Nov-Jan and bring out their new patterns, Standard for the industry.

The deco is pretty new though...it's the one we're registered for also.

I hope not! We were planning on getting some of the Deco gear as well! Shower is in a week and a half and was going to purchase what we don't get soon thereafter.

I I replied to the board on 2nd tri. It happened to me! My shower is next weekend and I got emails from BRU that my pack n play and swing are being discontinued I had the Mcallister pattern. So I had to go to the store and the manager told me that Usually, most items are discontinued at December and the new patterns come out at the end of January, so he took us around and showed us what was not being discontinued....UGH, we had 3 options for pack n plays and swings... not happy about it. When it gets discontinued, it goes on sale, so buy it up, but other stores may sell it though, Some items are being discontined just for packaging and the new packaging comes out in January...thats dumb....For instance the Boppy Changing table pads are being discontinued and are on sale for $9.99 and the new ones are out for $19.99. Check it out on BRU. IF you are concerned you can call the store and they will tell you if it is on their list....Atleast my BRU did that for me. Sorry for the long response, but belive me I was ticked, when I found out I had to repick all my big item stuff.

We are also registered for Deco with the shower not until February.  It is in BRU near me featured as "new pattern" so I think at least that one is safe.

The good news is that you can usually get the discontinued patterns at a big discount for a while.

The patterns that they have now were almost all available when I was pregnant with my first...that was 2 years ago!!!

They may bring out new patterns or discontinue a couple but the majority of them will still available for years to come.

I was just at BRU yesterday picking up a few last minute items. ?All of my gear is Graco Deco and they still had it all in stock and not on sale. ?Some of the other patterns were on sale so that makes me think they are the ones being discontinued. ?They had two new Graco patterns on display - one that I really liked too. ?I can't remember the name but it was dark blue with a cream swirl type pattern. ?I would just check with BRU on your specific pattern to see what they say... especially if it ends up going on sale I would snatch it up.
