Mine varies depending on how many times she feeds at night (usually 1 times, sometimes 2 times, rarely 3 times). If she sucks good for 5-7 minutes in the MOTN, I take it that she was hungry. My Ped said to stop MOTN feedings, I just don't have the heart to do it. She used the analogy that if I wake up for an ice cream
sunday at 11 pm each night, even when I am not hungry, I'd still wake up
for it. She may be right, I don't know. I usually give DD a few
minutes to fuss if it's been 3 hours or more since she went to bed and sometimes she goes back to sleep, otherwise I feed
her. I think when she's ready she'll drop it. I say this because when she was 5 months old she would only wake up once or not at all and she had done this on her own but then since the 6 month growth spurt hit, she started waking up more. I think eventually she'll go back to less MOTN feedings or STTN.
Usually she feeds when she wakes up for the day, then before each nap (2 to 3 naps) for just a few minutes to get her drowsy, but if she's tired and drowsy already we skip these few minutes of nursing, and then after naps, and then before bed.
Short answer 6-9 times on average in a 24/7 period.
Six times a day. Average is like 6am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and then She sleeps all night. Been on this schedule since 3 months. Right now the bottles at daycare are 2 5oz and 2 6oz, plus 2oz food.
I am so glad to see this post. I've also been wondering about this. I feed about 6 times a day. I guesstimate about 5-6 oz per feeding. My DS wakes up after sleeping 6-8 hours for a feeding. It is the middle of the night, but I figure he is probably hungry after sleeping that long. Our feeding looks like this:
BF: 4am, 6/7am, 9:30, 12, 3, 7 I also give 2 solid food feedings a day morning and afternoon about 3 oz each time
All. The. Time. Before and after naps (6+ times), nurse to bed and on and off all night as we co-sleep. I also nurse her very briefly if she has teething pain or if she falls and is upset enough to want to nurse. The only time she doesn't nurse is first thing in the am so 8+ times?
Typically, my LO eats 7 times per day.Nurses at 5am and 7am, bottles at daycare at 9amam, 11, 2:30pm and 4:30pm, then nurses at 6:45pm before bed. He also gets "solid food" at 12pm and 5:30pm.

5-6 times a day - she nurses around 5-6am (sometimes at like 3am also), gets 3 bottles (4oz each) during the day, and then nurses usually twice after I get home, but sometimes only once. We offer solids with dinner every night.
6 times a day. 7am, 10am, 1:00pm, 4:00, 7pm, and then typically once around 2:00am and back to bed. He's offered solids twice a day, but I can't count on a specific amount to be eaten--some days he's feeling it, some days he isn't:)
5x a day. Usually between 7-8am, 10am (before morning nap), 1pm (before afternoon nap), 4pm and the 7pm before bedtime. She has been STTN since she was 3 months. She also is offered solids 2-3x a day. Mornings she eats only about 1-2 oz but at dinner she usually has 4oz. Shes a good eater!
Hmmm...I nurse around 630 and then again around 5 and 630 pm. Sometimes once in the middle of the night. He gets pumped milk a Daycare about 3 times a day and also 3 solid meals.
