Gift Idea Help

I haven't posted in quite a while - 2 1/2 year old twins in the dredges of potty training has kept me super busy...

One of my closest friends is pg with twin boys and she is about 34 weeks.  We gave her a shower, but I want to come up with a unique gift to give her from one twin mom to another.  I know, I've had 34 weeks to think about it, but I haven't come up with anything!  I need some clever, creative ideas (which I am not).  She went yesterday for her check and the dr told her at this point he isn't going to stop labor, so I only have a few weeks to get something together...any ideas from any of you creative MoMs???

Thanks!

Re: Gift Idea Help

  • What about a "twin survival kit" that is filled with items you found most helpful those first few months as well as a few postpartum items to make her feel special as well like some easy to eat snacks maybe a homemade frozen meal or two to pop in the oven real quick so she doesn't have to worry about cooking also maybe a candle and nice smelling lotion ( I was super itchy after I gave birth I was going threw so much lotion) or something just specifically for her that you know she would like. Even a dvd or a tv series for those late night feeds to keep you awake? Put it in a laundry basket with some infant laundry soap because I know how much a second laundry basket came in handy for me even after my singleton was born haha! I can only imagine what it will be like when these two arrive. Also what about tossing in a gift card to either a restaurant that delivers or maybe even to a place like motherhood so she can pick up some nursing tops or something like that if needed?  I am sure some of the other ladies would have some better ideas as im still 6 weeks out from my boys arriving but those are things that would have been nice to have when I had my first especially the meals! cooking was the last thing I wanted to do after nursing a baby all night and day long.

I think either a freezer meal or a restaurant GC is the best gift. Not very creative or unique, but definitely a big help.

  • Freezer meals I agree, they were the best thing for that first crazy week home. Also one of the best gifts I received was my Twin Z pillow. I originally was planning on breastfeeding which it is great for, but its also awesome for double bottle feeding , tummy time and just having my girls sit in. What I like about it also is there is a strap and clip so you can adjust it for smaller babies to sit in. Not exactly creative but I use it all day every day.

  • I agree with frozen meals and/or Foodler credit if they have it where she lives.
