Sharp Needle Like Pain

So the other night I was sleeping and woke up to some sharp needle prick pain in my stomach... I just kinda rubbed it and went on back to sleep.  Today, again I felt the same needle prick pain in my stomach.  It doesn't last long and it comes and go.  I have an appt. tomorrow so plan to ask about it then.. but just seeing if any of you ladies have experienced it or might know what is causing it or could be.

It's most likely nerve related, which can be quite common in pregnancy due to the baby laying weird or just moving around and hitting nerves in the abdominal area. I've had what you're describing as well but it always goes away. It's uncomfortable but probably not anything to worry about. Ask your OB as well about it just to make sure.

Agree with pp about the nerve pain. I've had something similar a few times that feels like a tiny cut; then it goes away.

Was it by your belly button? I've been getting sharp pains when he kicks around that area, I think it's just a tender spot from being stretched so far.

It's kinda like all over.. not really in one particular spot.. it hasnt last long at all, and I am no too concerned... just curious what it could be.  My appt is today so I will just check with the doctor.. I havent had it today of course.. but ive only gotten it like 2-3 times this week.  Hitting the nerve sounds reasonable.. and maybe thats all it is   Thanks ladies for the replies.
