    KSGSMU-- Katy

    2.  Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww  when will you test? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc)
12DPO- should ovulate tonight or tomorrow!  Got a positive OPK yesterday and charting as usual.

    3.  How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Eh not hopeful- ready to see my RE next month and get a new IUI cycle underway.

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week?
We sold our house and looking for a new one.  Trying to buy a new house and save money for IVF is stressful. Also several ladies that would have had the same due date as I would have had are finding out the gender of their babies.  It is painful.

    QOTW:
How to you "celebrate" Halloween? DO you dress up? Throw a party?
I don't celebrate Halloween or dress up but I help out at my churches fall festival and pass out candy to kids who come to my door.

    2.  Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww  when will you test? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc): CD35. I have no idea if I o'd. Never got a positive OPK, cm was all crazy. I assume I'm in my 2ww but who knows.

    3.  How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc): Not hopeful all tall. I'm waiting for my appt next week w/ the OB/GYN. I found out I have to stick w/ her for 6 months before I can get a referral to the RE under my insurance plan.

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? My good friend told me last week she was 7 weeks pg. This week she called and her first ultrasound found the fetus had stopped developing. She miscarried the next day. I ache for her, this is her second MC. I also feel guilty because I was so jealous after she told me she was pg...I feel terrible for that.

    QOTW:
How to you "celebrate" Halloween? DO you dress up? Throw a party?: We bring the fire pit to the front yard and dress the dogs up and pass out candy. My husband has a few beers and passes them out to the parents, if they want one.

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name ( not full names)  and State you are from Kate from NZ

    2.  Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww  when will you test? Waiting to O

    3.  How do you feel about this cycle? Hopeful. But I always am hopeful about everything, it's just how I am.

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? My sister has been unable to have children after 4 rounds of IVF. My Mum asked me if I'd consider donating eggs (I have no idea if this is something my sister wants or is just Mum trying to think of ways to solve this) In theory I'm happy to donate, but I want to complete my own family first, which makes me feel super selfish, as I have two beautiful children already, and waiting until we've had more may make me too old to donate eggs to my sister.

QOTW: We don't really do halloween here in NZ. A few kids dress up and I generally have some candy ready, but it's not something we celebrate or intend to teach our children about.

    2.  Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww  when will you test? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc). Somewhere around ovulation (CD 14)

    3.  How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) We aren't really trying this month (I just had a miscarriage in September). Sort of not preventing/not trying kind of thing.

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? My 18 month old goes to the developmental pedi tomorrow and I'm scared shitless of what this doctor might say. He is in early intervention for speech, PT, OT, and special ed, and all of his therapists think he has motor planning issues, with a few sensory quirks (mild) for good measure. But I am worried that the doctor might see autism, even though all of our therapists are certain this is not the case. Dyspraxia isn't a walk in the park either. So I worry, and worry, and worry some more :(

QOTW: We do celebrate Halloween. I am a nut about it and decorate the house all up. I bought the little guy's costume in August (planning ahead) and we're going to walk around with him this year, and maybe swipe a piece of candy here or there!

    3. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) hopeful and anxious. Was only a 25 day cycle after miscarriage. No break.

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? What's weighing heavy on my heart is, the thing I want so much, and everyone around me is getting or have, is a baby of my own right now. A co-worker just announced she's pregnant.

QOTW: How to you "celebrate" Halloween? DO you dress up? Throw a party? I love to decorate and pass out candy.

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name ( not full names) and State you are from - gscoville, BC, Canada 2. Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww when will you test? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc) - 2WW, 6 DPO 3. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) Not very hopeful at all. Since starting TTC over a year ago, both before and after my loss in January, I've found I'm a big time 'spotter' and it concerns me. We're talking starting at 3-5 DPO through until my period, so 10+ days, then AF, then days of spotting after - means I might have 5-7 days in a cycle when I don't actually bleed in some way. I just don't think I have much of a lining for implantation by the time the egg would get there, and given that my loss was an ectopic, in my right tube, supports my theory that my ute just isn't able to support a pregnancy. Of course this is all just conjecture on my part, but this leads me to jump into

#4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? - My long-awaited OB appointment tomorrow just got cancelled this afternoon, it's now on Nov. 8. I had testing done in May with the OB who did my ectopic surgery, but he all of a sudden left town before going through my results with me. I got the printout, but it's been a five month wait to see someone who can actually do something with them. Now it'll be another month. I'm feeling pretty defeated today unfortunately! QOTW: How to you "celebrate" Halloween? DO you dress up? Throw a party? I do dress up, I'm a teacher so I love to enjoy the holiday with my students.

This morning, I broke my own rule my temping just to see where I was. Wish I hadn't done that so that I don't start obsessing over my temps until test day.

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? Nothing too heavy this week. I'm hoping I get pregnant in the next couple of days and excited about travelling to see family next week.

    QOTW:

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? Our loss wasn't easy, but I'm not about to sit around and have all this idle time.  getting my mammo out of the way, taking care of lose ends, getting prepared to start all over again :)

    QOTW:
How to you "celebrate" Halloween? DO you dress up? Throw a party? We live in the unicorporated area and have no lights or sidewalks.  This year we are taking our children on base to trick or treat and I'll be able to help my daughter since she is due 10/17.  I'm sure she will still want her son to have fun.

    2.  Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww  when will you test? ( Waiting to O2WW etc) FF says 9dpo, but since my thermometer had a freak out right around O, I am worried that perhaps I am less dpo and might have missed it.
    3.  How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) If thermometer is correct I feel good about timing, taking progesterone so no cramps or anything, I should read signs or the lack of signs right? LOL
    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week? maybe never being pregnant. A coworker thinks she might be KU, so I had to talk to her last night about cm to try to help her pinpoint where she was in her cycle cause it could be 1 of 2 guys.....she is also 18 years younger with a 5 year. So it hurts a bit.

    QOTW:
How to you "celebrate" Halloween? DO you dress up? Throw a party? I adore halloween, I used to throw an awesome party totally would decorate the house, take great pains to get costumed, but time and money have not permitted me to indulge lately in throwing parties...that also is heavy on my mind!

    2.  Where are you in your cycle? If in the 2ww  when will you test? ( Waiting to O, 2WW etc)
I have just had my first miscarriage so I am not sure where I am at. I am to wait a cycle before TTC. If things go well I guess I am 8ww.

    3.  How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Hopeful and anxious. It took years the first time and did not have the desired outcome.

    4. What is weighing heavy on your heart this week?
The loss. The pregnancy was a complete surprise because I was told I would not have children. But as soon as it was a possibility... I realized how much I want it.

    5. I know it's hard for some to see children at their door for Halloween but I don't mind. They are so cute. Our friend usually has a big Halloween party but it slowed down...too expensive and MH HATES to dress up. I always went w/o him to my country Halloween parties!

  • Hi all:

@BeckyP005, the developmental pediatrician diagnosed my son with mild autism spectrum disorder. She took all of 30 minutes to come to this conclusion, and said, basically, "See you in 3 months." No referral to a neurologist, no scrips for bloodwork to test for Fragile X. Nothing. So I am following up with our pedi for these referrals. She said he has a very mild presentation, is unlikely to regress, and could "outgrow" the diagnosis. She applauded us for getting him in so early (he is just 19 months--we made the appointment 3 months ago, because we knew the wait would be so long). She also applauded us for already having so many services in place (he gets speech and special ed 3 times a week, OT two times a week, and PT once a week). She herself is an Aspie, and we were warned about her complete lack of bedside manner, but she was very nice to us. She thinks that with therapy, he will be "indistinguishable" from his peers by kindergarten.

I feel like someone has died. I wish it were me. There is lots of guilt. Did I cause this? Due to my age when I had him? Due to my own autoimmune issues? I would not wish this pain on anyone.

My son is already gluten free, so now we are working towards getting him off dairy. We will start with the GF/CF diet and possibly progress to SCD. Everything he's eaten, and has ever eaten, has been organic, and I am used to finding alternatives for food for him already, so the ultimate transition should not be so bad. I will be bringing him to a chiropractor that has been certified for working with autistic kids, and I'm also hunting down a craniosacral therapist, as well as a homeopath in our area that might also help him. He is very young and small, so I am approaching biomedical treatments slowly and with caution. But we'll go to the city for that, as the best doctors for that sort of thing are there.

Whatever I can do, I will do.

Ironically, my little guy is called "the social butterfly" in his music class. He loves other kids and shares with them, hugs them, and interacts. He sleeps 12 hours an night and is the most easygoing little guy you'd ever meet. But he stims, he has a speech delay, and he does not point or wave. Great eye contact, but his response to his name averages about 60 percent of the time (and we've had his ears and eyes checked already). I've suspected that he had this since he was a small baby. But all of our therapists, every single one, said there's now way he has autism. Dyspraxia, yes, but autism, no. So this has been a major shock to them.

Thank you guys for asking. I am just trying to get through the days right now.

  • I am so sorry about your son but PLEASE do not blame yourself. It seems like you are doing everything possible to help him. I have no experience in any of this or know of anyone but you and your cute little "social butterfly" will be in my thoughts. He is so very lucky to have a mom like you!!

Take care and if you ever need to vent we are here for you :) I hope the therapist and chiropractor can help him.
