Amount of diapers question

I will have a 25 month old when hopefully #2 is born. Obviously it is possible she will be in the midst or soon after headed to potty training (especially while being in cloth her entire life). I'm trying to figure out if I have enough diapers or if I need to buy more for #2. Anyone have a 2 year old and a newborn and might be able to offer their personal experience?

You definitely need more dipes.

How many diapers do you currently have?  Do you have a newborn stash?  My LOs will be about the same age difference as yours.  I'm planning on buying newborn diapers only (we skipped them with DD and I so regretted it) and then I will see where we are with PT by the time baby #2 is ready for OS diapers.  But considering we have ~45 OS dipes already, I doubt we will actually *need* many more even if DD doesn't PT for awhile.  

BTW, Congrats!  I remember you from PgAL.

Silly question! The answer is I should always get more right?

@busterbeagle I have about 35 & no I don't have any newborns, so maybe I should start there. My sister is selling me her newborns, hopefully I can get away with just having those for a few months as I transition my DD out of diapers.

I should have said what my stash is. I have about 35 total. 9 of them are large prefolds, 6 fuzzibunz with the internal elastic (so they wouldn't be able to be shared since it's a hassle to make larger/smaller), and the rest are OS Alvas. I have plenty of time so maybe I'll grab some as I see sales or co-ops pop up. Thank you for your responses!

Psh. I thought Rosie would PT. So we got her cloth trainers and called it a day. She still isn't potty trained. We got those trainers a year ago. Boo!

My daughter does everything on the late side, so I don't know why I think she'll be potty training or close to it by then! So yeah, I'll be buying more, everyone needs more right?

Yup. My kid is 3 and just now started pointing out when she farts or poops. She just doesn't give crap about peeing.

This is my situation too. I have a NB stash, and bought a few more OS. I'm still going to get a couple more h&l for child care. I figure I got a chunk of my OS stash secondhand, and I can always re-sell them! I'm also of the belief that you can never have too many diapers.
