Clothing sizing-1T?

I'm looking at raincoats for Ethan at Hatley (who makes raincoats) has a size 1T. I've never heard of 1T. Is this just 12 mos? I can't seem to find a conversion chart anywhere.

  • I always figured 1T was about 12-18 months. I've been eyeing up the Hatley rain gear too!

  • I have a Gerber sleeper that is 1T and it fits my 2 year old perfectly.  I'm going to venture to say that it is bigger than a 12 month size.  Not sure how other brands will run, but I would put my bets on 18-24 months.

Some brands, especially things like coats, do 12-24mo sizing. That is what I would associate 1T with.

    Love the new siggy!

  • I have a store near me that carries lots of 1T and it fits WAY better than 12-18 or even 6-12. It's narrower in the waist so it actually fits my skinny child's waist and they are long enough. 6-12 is always too short but good in the waist.

E had a couple one pieces from Hatley that were given to us as gifts that were pretty cute. I stumbled upon their raingear on zappos

  • We have a pair of jeans that is labeled 1T and they are exactly the same as all his 18 months pants.
