With all this talk of money and take home pay, I wanna see what some of you do with what you'e got.  However, DO NOT list the area you live in or any of your finances.  I know we just discussed finances in 2 prior threads but make an attempt to block those posts from your mind while viewing this thread. You can post a favorite room in your house, favorite decorations, the outside of your house, your bedroom, LO's room, multiple views, before and after pics......whatever you like the most about you humble abode.

Soooo, all my photos are on their side and I can't fix it because I'm on mobile. My favorite thing in my house are my two huge metal wall hangings that we hung by wire over our stairs. The buffet acts as my fireplace mantle since I don't have a fireplace. The second is my kitchen which I love. The last is my super cheap Ikea storage chest for Kate's toys!

This was when I was pregnant with DD1. We moved in exactly 1 week before she was born. There are so many things I love about our home...We look forward to finishing the basement too.  We will not be moving again until we retire (I hope).

ALl of this is true for us too, down to the view of the same mountain :-)  We can see the mountain from our backyard.  I actually do like our backyard, we have a greenbelt behind it so no neighbors back there.

ETA: I can not wait until we buy again and can make a home totally ours, I have a Pinterst board full of all the great features we are going to have :-)  4ish more  years until my H's contract is up and then we can settle somewhere.

We just remodeled our master bath, so I love it so much more than before, but it's still small.  (I can't give up my walk-in closet to make it bigger).

We're planning to build in the next year or so.  Then I can be as cool as @bobkat22 and have a kitchen I love!!

Our house is a complete work in progress. We moved in the week C was born and we haven't done much inside, except his room, so I'm not showing you the inside! I do love the outside though. It's only about 10 years old, but is Victorian style with a wrap around porch and turret. I love that style.

Here's a pic I snapped last winter. DH would flip his shit if he knew I posted our house (don't come steal my baby, yo), so I might delete it later.

That's gorgeous @tonir319! Ours is a Victorian built in the 1880's. I don't have a pic in my phone but I put one on IG at some point. We love it but, like most old houses, it lacks storage space.

I could post a pic of our family room with our old leather sofas and mismatching chaise lounge being used as a baby gate and toys all over the floor

Also, if you get up close to the house, it really needs painted and all new wood around the windows, but it's pretty from the road!

Do you live in a downtown area? Do you guys have a basement? 

We love a downtown area near us and most of the houses are Victorian. For DH, not having an attached garage or basement were deal breakers for him though.

I don't have many house pictures... here is a before and after of our master bath. Floor hasn't been tiled yet, but I love my dark gray ceilings!

Oh, and before... there was a ceiling fan hanging above the bathtub. Weird, no?

It's a suburban area downtown, not big city downtown if that makes sense. Yes, it's considered the City of B rather than B Township. We do have a basement and it looks exactly what you would imagine an 1880's-house basement would look like. It's good for storage but only DH ever goes down there. It's creepy.

We bought our house because of the location. Worst house best neighborhood. We've been in it how 5.5 years and have pretty much redone almost the whole thing except our kitchen. Our house is 3 br, 1 full back 2 half baths, 2000 sq ft with finished basement. Umm no. Not even close. I was not one of the people making more than $250k or with the high mortgage haha. 

And this photo does make the house look really big, but the right side is the garage. Don't get me wrong, it's bigger than we need or even wanted (it's about 3,000 sq ft), but it's no McMansion.

Beautiful! And holy crap that garden is amazing, but I cannot imagine the work.

This was the listing picture of our house...I thought I had one of how I've transformed the gardens but apparently I don't.  I ripped out all the shrubs and put in all perennials, then in the front yard where we had to have a big tree cut down I put in another garden bed that's a cashew shape.  I really like the garden. :-)  I really like a lot of the inside too, but my favorite room, our dining room, I don't have any pictures of.

This was the first home improvement project we took on.  We did a tile backsplash in our kitchen and I L O V E it. :-)  We've also replaced the faucet since then, but it looks the same, only shorter.

@tonir319 I have porch envy! My dream house would have a porch that wrapped around the whole house, into a big deck in back. Dream location would be on a hillside/bluff overlooking a river with lots of woods all around.

My back yard in winter.
Inside the house is okay, but needs updating, paint, etc.  I love my yard, though.  That forest in the back is no longer there.  The huge trees are, but all the brushy looking stuff is gone and it is clear and much nicer now.
