Organic really means nothing when it comes to formula. Most organic brands are only approved for use for 12 months plus as well. You'll also be limited if your baby doesn't tolerate it as well. I use Gerber Gentle since it's most like BM. It's the only formula out there with the milk proteins (whey proteins) pre broken down. Which makes it easier to digest. Other brands like Gentlease and Similac Sensitive that claim this only have a small amount of this. The bonus is that Gerber is the cheapest name brand. GL!
We have to use a formula called Nutramigen. It is a very expensive formula and is for a "cows milk allergy". Our DS does not tolerate regular formula. The proteins in this formula are totally broken down and our pediatrician said it was the closest thing to breast milk with Gerber following as the 2nd closest. If he didn't have to be on the Nutramigen, I would definitely try the Gerber as I've heard good things. However, each baby is different and you really don't know what they can tolerate until you try them out! GL!
